• Sunday Flower:Orchid

• This lovely orchid greeted me today.
• It’s beautiful color really brightened up my day, and made my Sunday chores a joy.
• Weeding, watering and fertilizing are not glamorous at all.
• And they are probably the last thing you think of when you look at a blooming orchid.
• But those are the things, the work, that made the blooming orchid possible.

Reminds me of tokenized Social Media like Hive or Leofinance.

• You can join Hive and Leofinance for free, but that doesn’t mean that your posts will be discovered by the big upvoters, and that cryptocurrency will come to you like rain from the sky.
• Nope, you have to pay a price for other peoples time and attention. The price in tokenized social media is your time and attention.
• Yep, if you want people to know you are here, you need to go to their posts and read them. Then comment in a way that makes it clear you read the post, you understood it, why it had value or if you didn’t understand it, ask a question.
• Success on a social media platform isn’t rocket science, it’s people science. And people science is relatively easy. People are driven by simple desires of food, water, shelter, love, sex and attention.
• The latter, attention is easy to provide here via replying to peoples posts in the comments.
• In fact the system on Hive and all its sub-communities like Leofinance are basically the same: you comment, the author upvotes your comment, and you both get paid.
• No fancy math skills are need; one half of a one dollar upvote is 50 cents, that’s what you will earn for your reply, and that’s all the math you need to know.
• Now not every reply/comment will be replied to and not all of them will be upvoted. But that’s where the work comes in. You reply often and you will get noticed. And your comments will start getting upvotes.
• You may say well that’s not a lot of money, and right now your right, it isn’t. So you will have to make a lot of replies to increase your earnings. But one day those upvotes will be much more, and it’s then that your work commenting and upvoting other peoples posts will payoff.
• Joining Hive and Leofinance is free, but success isn’t free, you have to pay for it with your time and attention. You have to put in the work.
• You need to earn other peoples time and attention, with your own.
• That plus a sprinkle of creativity, a dash of spell checking, a large portion of persistence snd an equal portion of motivation will help you succeed.

Flowers and Upvotes

• When those flowers bloom, some people think it was easy. Some think you just put the seeds in the ground and come back in a month and there will be beautiful flowers.
• Nope, it doesn’t work that way. There’s work involved.
• When you see the flower, you are looking at the finished product. But you can’t see the labor that went into that product.
• Success on tokenized social media is the same.
• Some of you will only see the article with the big upvote.
• Some of you don’t see all the reading, commenting, and upvoting that went into building the network relationships that resulted in that upvote.
• I hope that I have opened your eyes, and that you can truly see.
  Yep.
• Flowers and Social Media both look easy, but to succeed you gotta do the work. You gotta pay the price; time and attention.
