Dear Mr. Cuban,
I read your article entitled The Brilliance of Yield Farming, Liquidity Providing and Valuing Crypto Projects. It contained insights and explanations derived from years of entrepreneurial experience. Focusing on a large element of your article was the amazing business opportunity that DeFi presents, you get to spend no money on brick and mortar expenditures, no money on software development like developer fees or any of the hassles involved in a business. You just invest your capitol in Liquidity Pools and rake in profit. I believe the word you used was brilliant. You further elucidated all the expenses of cloud based businesses like server costs, server maintenance, equipment or cloud hosting fees. You went thoroughly into all the costs and details, and then you said again, with DeFi you just bring your funds and invest them in Liquidity Pools, get LP Tokens, deposit them into a farm and start making income daily.
I think you hit the proverbial nail on the head with all your points about how amazing DeFi is and I wish to tell you about a DeFi project that has a business, with useful products that people actually use, and more people will want to use in the future.
Plus it’s a DeFi business whose utility is to make it easy for DeFi investors to move from Ethereum DeFi and Binance Smart Chain DeFi to Polygon DeFi!
I present to you the Leofinance application Leobridge.
First, what is Leofinance, Leobridge and why should you care?
A Brief Introduction.
Leofinance is the creation of Khaleel Kazi, who is a cryptocurrency investor, a business owner, and developer. He started Leofinance, a tokenized blogging application on the Hive blockchains sidechain Hive-Engine and has its own Hive version of an Ethereum ERC token, called a Hive Engine Token, known as Leo.
This token is where the magic begins.
The 3 year old Leofinance Community calls themselves the Leofinance Lions, the blogging site is called Leofinance.io, the token previously mentioned is Leo and they have the pre-requisite cute Lion Mascot, and the sixth application Khaleel created was a DeFi yield farming project named after a baby Lion Cub; Cubfinance, so the mascot is a cute baby Lion, and the Cubfinance token is of course called Cub.
The project reached a Total Value Locked of 19 million before the last Bitcoin price crash. It saw reduced TVL as the token price dropped with the rest of the crypto market, but Khaleel or Khal as he is known in the community, and his now six member developer team kept improving the project to evolve from typical unsustainable DeFi Coin of the Day economics to a more sustained model taken from older projects with stable and rising token values based on giving the token value beyond speculation and hype.

The best introduction I can give Khaleel Kazi, is that in addition to being a cryptocurrency investor, business owner and software developer, is that he is an honest man, who keeps his word, and he has used his own money to make people whole when his projects go south.

Khaleel has produced six applications used in the Hive-Leofinance ecosystem, and his personal and professional focus is on utility and ease of use. His business mantra is to build applications which are easy to use and perform a hard task easily. The first one he built was Leofinance.io , which is a blogging application, where content about finance and cryptocurrency is published, and bloggers and readers engage in commentary and trade links and information. It’s biggest strength is engagement and a sense of community. An addition feature is the potential for authors and content consumers to earn the cryptocurrency Leo by producing content, upvoting content or engaging with others commenting on content.
Now let’s fast forward to the magic and connection of Leobridge to your investment in Polygon.
The application called Leobridge is user friendly software construct that allows users to move cryptocurrency from one Blockchains ecosystem to another, and transform it into a usable form on arrival. I should explain the term usable form. Each Blockchain has a native token, Ethereum has Ether, Binance has BNB and Matic has MATIC. Each Blockchain allows non-native tokens to participate in DeFi investments or projects only when represented by a special type of token called an ERC on Ethereum, a BEP on Binance Smart Chain and what I call a PEP on Polygon.
This means the assets on the Ethereum DeFi project websites are either Ethereum tokens or ERC tokens. DeFi assets on Binance Smart Chain DeFi are either BNB or BEP tokens. And of course the Polygon DeFi ecosystem is on the Matic Blockchains and all tokens there are the Matic version of the Ethereum ERC token, which I will call PEP tokens for now, because I haven’t found the official name.
The transportation and transformation of Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain assets to Polygon/Matic assets is a complicated process involving several steps and several wallet addresses. An error during the process can cause irreversible loss of the assets. This sobering reality and the causal complexity are the impetus for Bridges and there are 3 of them that I know of connecting Ethereum to Polygon. These bridges attempt to reduce this complex multi-step process into a fail-proof one step process. This eliminates the technical complexities and eliminates opportunities for costly mistakes. This is the Leobridge Use Case as we like to call the problem it solves in Cryptocurrency.
What makes Leobridge unique?
Leobridge connects the Ethereum ecosystem with the Binance Smart Chain ecosystem, and soon will connect those two to the Polygon system.
Why does Leobridge present a particular attractive DeFi investment?
In a word Liquidity. All bridges depend on trading pairs to facilitate through put. Leofinance has created a trading pair on the Ethereum DeFi side at Uniswap a Leo ERC token WLEO paired with Ethereum makes it easy for investors to trade their Ethereum or ERC tokens for WLEO and then send WLEO an Ethereum ERC token to Binance Smart Chain as a Binance Smart Chain BEP token called BLEO, which is course part of a BLEO-BNB trading pair, so you can trade it for BNB. Finally, soon you will be able to send BLEO to Polygon as a Polygon PEP token called PLEO and trade it for MATIC.
So the ultimate safe DeFi Liquidity Provider investment scenario will exist where you can invest on three Blockchains Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain and Polygon using versions of the Leofinance Leo token, as WLEO, BLEO and PLEO. And as the LP provider for all the Yield Farm investors who are looking for gold like the gold miners of the famous California Gold Rush, you will be making steady income every day selling them the DeFi equivalent of picks and shovels.
