Introduction:
Tokenized Social Media Tools: Comments, Upvotes and Threads.
In my humble opinion it is the proper use of these tools, which are specific developed for this platform, that creates success in tokenized social media. This post could be titled: Build a successful social media network by being social. But that would miss the importance of utilizing the specific tools that help you to make money, win friends, and build your network.
First, the tools:** Commenting, Upvoting, and Tweeting.
Networking on a tokenized social media platform has three specialized tools, which provide huge networking opportunities, if you follow through and use them to their full potential. But if you don't use them to their full potential, the results are lackluster or poor.
You see the biggest obstacle to success on a social media network is discovery, you start out as another unknown account, unless your a celebrity, but even then, your just another new account, and like a single blade of grass in a lawn, you need to do something to stand out. And this platform gives you the perfect tools. Comments are the networking tool, which make the invisible account visible, the unknown account known, and the empty wallet, not so empty.
Commenting on peoples posts with inciteful, well thought out comments or questions, changes you from a stranger to a new friend, and over time you become an old friend. The difference is only time, so put time on your side, start the clock and start commenting today. Plus it earns you upvotes on your comments from the Post Author and Other People who read your comment. A Comment is like a small billboard that advertises your existence and tells people something about you.
Some people upvote your comment without reading, others will read and upvote your comment, and some will read, upvote and reply. Lastly some will do one or all three and go to your blog and read what you have written on other or similar topics. This simple thing called commenting is a great networking tool. But only if you use it to generate interest in yourself. You can leave short comments, which don't ilicit any interest and make a little money on upvotes. But if you want to build a network of people interested in your writing or your posts like memes or pictures, you need to give them a reason to interact with you and your blog. I really think the bulk of your work and effort shold be spent interacting, being social, networking with the author and the other commenters. You want to interact with people who are interacting. This is a great way to find them. Look for fish in the water, not the woods.
- Upvote are very helpful, because they help you earn tokens and they increase peoples interest when you both upvote and comment.
- Threads increase people's interest in a general sense, when they are random, but when your thread is actually a comment, you get more value from it, because it's personal, you are interacting with that person , about something they wrote or expressed an interest in, and suddenly your not just another stranger, your a stranger interested in things they are interested in, and those strangers can become our frineds. And on tokenized social media they can become part of our network, which upvotes our posts, leaves comments on our posts, leaves comments on our comments, etc... This is all building intereactions, building relationships, it's networking and becoming a friend, a known quantity.
It helps makes the invisible person visible, the stranger into a friend, and the unknown person known as good ole joe, or larry, or lisa or lorraince.. you get the point right?

Hive is complicated, but don't get bogged down or overwhelmed by the complexity.
Stick to the basics, focus on the important basics to build your network. Comments, Upvotes and Threads.
The right time to ask questions??
IMHO in my humble opinion...
Ask questions when new stuff affects what you do, that's the right time to learn complex stuff, because you will immediately understand it and be able to apply it.
Until then it's just to much information.
Education on the reward pool, tokenization, token forms, token types, curation rewards, author rewards, dust rewards, dustsweeper, delegations, and more, are all good things to learn. But until you understand their context, they are all just to complicated to remember and distract you from the Big Three.
In the words of one of my funny friends on Hive, there is lots of stuff you don't need to know, until it becomes apparent that you need to know it, and I think you will know it when you need more information.
But know that... when the student is ready the master will appear.
