El trading es una profesión que lleva mucha constancia y esfuerzo. Desarrollar una operativa seria y ganadora cuesta mucho estudio, trabajo y resiliencia, por lo que muy pocos llegan a la cima de la montaña. Algunas personas piensan encontrar una fuerte fuente de ingreso en el trading, y esto no es así ni remotamente. El nivel de fluctuación de ganancias es variable con respecto a la etapa en la que estés y en sí dicha etapa depende de ciertos factores muy difíciles de desarrollar. Así te describo las etapas por las que tuve que pasar.
Trading is a profession that takes a lot of perseverance and effort. Developing a serious and winning operation takes a lot of study, work and resilience, so very few make it to the top of the mountain. Some people think they will find a strong source of income in trading, and this is not even remotely the case. The level of profit fluctuation is variable with respect to the stage you are in and the stage itself depends on certain factors that are very difficult to develop. I will describe the stages I had to go through.
1- Etapa de aprendizaje
La etapa de aprendizaje no es tan corta como parece,sufrir grandes pérdidas que te afecten psicológicamente ante un mercado financiero es hasta cierto punto normal, a todos nos pasa. Este suele ser el punto crítico que define el decursar de la operativa de un trader, es un proceso muy necesario para entender como funcionan los mercados financieros y saber en qué parte de tu estrategia debes desarrollar para poder empezar a ganar dinero. El proceso de aprendizaje es sin dudas el filtro más eficiente por el que pasan las personas que se quieren dedicar al trading, donde más personas se dan por vencidos.
1- Learning stage
The learning stage is not as short as it seems, suffering big losses that affect you psychologically in a financial market is to some extent normal, it happens to all of us. This is usually the critical point that defines the course of a trader's operation, it is a very necessary process to understand how financial markets work and to know in which part of your strategy you must develop in order to start making money. The learning process is undoubtedly the most efficient filter through which people who want to dedicate themselves to trading go through, where most people give up.
2- Etapa de desarrollo
Durante la etapa de desarrollo vamos encontrando un poco más de seguridad a la hora de operar, entendiendo la relación de probabilidades que constituye la apertura de una operación. En esta, comenzamos a ver ``la luz al final del túnel” equiparando las ganancias con las pérdidas debido a que aún no dominamos del todo términos intangibles muy necesarios para el trading, como lo es la psicología. Como su nombre lo dice, esta es una etapa muy alentadora ya que vemos el progreso que hemos tenido y comenzamos a obtener resultados reales dentro de un mercado financiero.
2- Development stage
During the development stage we find a little more security when trading, understanding the probability ratio that constitutes the opening of an operation. In this stage, we begin to see "the light at the end of the tunnel" equating profits with losses because we have not yet fully mastered intangible terms very necessary for trading, such as psychology. As its name says, this is a very encouraging stage because we see the progress we have made and we begin to get real results in a financial market.
3- Etapa verde
La llamo etapa verde por lo que esto significa dentro de un gráfico, cuando llegas a esta eres capaz de obtener ganancias según tu exposición, planificación y capital de inversión. La considero etapa verde no tanto por las ganancias como por la calidad de ejecución de la operativa. Luego de mucho trabajo y esfuerzo lograrás llegar a la meta, obteniendo resultados muy buenos y formando parte del reducido porciento de personas que obtienen ganancias a través de un mercado financiero. Es muy satisfactorio llegar a esta etapa.
3- Green stage
I call it green stage because of what this means in a chart, when you reach this stage you are able to make profits according to your exposure, planning and investment capital. I consider it a green stage not so much for the profits but for the quality of execution of the operation. After a lot of work and effort you will reach the goal, obtaining very good results and being part of the small percentage of people who make profits through a financial market. It is very satisfying to reach this stage.
Hacer del trading una fuente de ingresos es de las tareas más duras que he tenido la satisfacción de cumplir. Aunque netamente no me cubre aún el 100% de mis gastos puedo de vez en cuando darme un lujo además de ahorrar para futuros proyectos de vida.
Sí se puede vivir del dinero que te da el trading, aunque tienes que tener en cuenta que este te da ganancias variables y siempre es recomendable tener ingresos alternativos. Como ya pudiste analizar durante la publicación no basta con estudiar un poco para vivir del trading, para lograr esto se requiere de muchísimo esfuerzo durante años. Mi pricipal consejo es que si buscas un trabajo que te dé mucho dinero en corto plazo este no es el trading.

Yes you can live on the money that trading gives you, although you have to keep in mind that this gives you variable earnings and it is always advisable to have alternative income. My main advice is that if you are looking for a job that gives you a lot of money in the short term this is not trading.
