Two New Splinterlands Proposals How I'll Be Voting
Splinterlands just released two new proposals and both are from the community. This is the first time we are seeing proposals from the community get factored into the possible listing and go to vote to SPS holders.
It's important to note that it does cost 100,000 DEC which is burned in order to submit a proposal. That would be $100 if DEC had the peg it should or in todays prices about $50-$60 so it's rather inexpensive to submit one.
Alright so let's dive in and take a look at what we have going on.
Proposal 1

PeakMonsters submitted in a proposal to create a community proposal page which will list out all valid (have paid 100k DEC) to a list which can be reviewed and voted on directly from their dashboard.
This proposal page has already been built here https://peakmonsters.com/proposals and I have to say it's nice for keeping track of what's going on.
All they are asking for from what I can understand is 1 SPS from the DAO and the reason for just 1 is because they are already big stake holders in the game and enjoy building tools which help grow Splinterlands and I think that's saying a lot. 1 SPS is just to make sure that it's actully taken from the DAO as a test for the team.

SPS.DAO should stake an additional 28 million SPS for a total of 30 million sps.
The argument here is mainly around if the DAO should stake and start eating up about $1,000 worth of rewards each day from the APR price. Thus giving the DAO more funds to work with in the future.
The two huge negatives I see with this are.
- The DAO should be self sustaining anyways from the buying of cards etc.
- As I've seen with Hive the DAO often gets abused for projects and works as a ATM for people and they produce nothing or crap that doesn't matter.
I understand the reason for a DAO on Splinterlands and Hive but there needs to be better checks in place IMO about how those funds are used and when.
I guess the 3rd negative I would have is the price of SPS is so dang low right now that it would be sucking up huge funds now for pennies while the next bull run it would be worth 10x that or better.
My Vote NO
Currently I only have a little over 300,000 SPS my goal is to get to 1 million and I guess I need to get my butt in gear more to get to that point. Daily growth is around 400 SPS daily so with that I'd be at nearly 5 years to hit my goal lol. So I need to start buying and staking more SPS and selling some other assets if that's truly where I want to be.
I see that happening soon depending on how SPS holds compared to the rest of the market such as Binance and doing some swaps there. I'm coming up on a sizeable amount of CAKE that will be liquid after a 6 month lock I put in in about 2 more months. That might be the move to truly stack more SPS quickly.
