The Problem
The invention of blockchain has ushered in a new age, but not much has changed when it comes to how early stage blockchain projects are funded. Venture funding remains limited to high net worth individuals and VC firms, who typically invest behind closed doors at a fraction of the price once tokens finally hit the public markets.
Even the venture DAO landscape has been surprisingly limited, with leaders like Metacartel Ventures and The LAO limiting access to highly-connected individuals and/or accredited investors. A truly open access venture DAO does not yet exist on Ethereum.
Introducing Stacker Ventures
We believe that we can build a better model, where anyone can participate, and where projects will benefit from both capital and a strong community of supporters.
Stacker Ventures is a community-run protocol for initiating and managing pooled capital on the blockchain. Structured as a DAO, Stacker Ventures initiates decentralized funds, accelerates venture fund portfolio investments through an involved community, and provides checks and balances to fund management.

It’s Already Happening!
The DAO's first venture fund, launched on March 1st, is an expedited crypto-native fund that invests in up-and-coming projects.
In addition to the venture fund, the DAO oversees a series of Active Yield Funds focused on generating competitive, investment-grade APY through DeFi exposure.
The STACK Token
STACK tokens grant Stacker Ventures DAO participants voting rights in the DAO. Holding different amounts of STACK tokens will grant DAO participants different levels of access and involvement. Holders can also stake their STACK to grow their holdings.
