I'm so use to using the decentralized search engine Presearch that I forget to check in on how things are going over there, specificaly with the keyword staking feature for PRE token holders.
Keyword staking is basically committing your PRE tokens to a giver word or term, if you stake the most PRE to that term then you can place an ad at the top of the search results. Let's search for Bitcoin and see what we get...
So the first result under the Bitcoin price/info box (a feature I like) is the ad placed by whomever staked the most PRE to the word Bitcoin. Looks like it's someone's referral link to bitmex.
Let's take a look at who is staking the word and how much they stake to get that ad...
OOF! Looks like someone is staking almost 9 million PRE to get that ad placement. DAAAAAAAMN.
Let's take a look at something a little less.....popular.
So you can see above the first result under the price box is someone's referral link to hiveonboard.
Let's see how much PRE they stake to that search word.
Interesting. I wonder if they get many referral bonuses?
I have three keywords staked, the first has my Coinbase referral link and the second and third have my Mene referral.
The "views" column is how many times people have search that word/term. As you can see not many people who use a decentralized search engine powered by cryptocurrency already are searching to "buy litecoin" haahhaha!
The remaining two words have been searched quite a bit and I have even gotten some clicks on my links but after having these words staked for a year+ I have not had one referral bonus. I am not a big referral link pusher and did this when it was introduced just to test drive it. It seems like it would be lucrative if you have a ton of PRE to stake and knew a thing or two about marketing.
Anyhow, if you want to get paid in PRE to search using a search engine that does not record your every word sign up here https://presearch.org/signup?rid=100850 ;)
I'll leave you with the top three reasons I love Presearch...
