Leofinance is rapidly changing.
We are seeing the value of the entire network growing. LeoThreads is a terrific addition and is really starting to generate some traffic. This completely changed the way people engage on the site.
With blogging, it is more a read and be done. This is what most of the users did. Some would leave a comment yet authors are notorious for never engaging back. It is usually a situation that isn't a great problem except when people ask questions. Then, one can be awaiting an answer that never comes.
Microblogging takes things to another level. This is something that alters the characteristic of engagement. There is more "real time" activity and some are on the site for extended periods of time. It is also a lot less formal.
Finally, with the recently updated notifications page, it is much easier to see what people are sending. This altered the way one can interact with others since a tagging with the username is not totally lost. That is a problem across the Hive ecosystem: finding information that is desired is not easy.
Now we have the upcoming step further into Web 3.0.
Expanding Content
It is time for the Leofinance community to start thinking in terms of business practices. The reality is that, with the new ad revenue program, all of us have a vested interest in expanding the money that comes in. Remember, this is going to be used to buy LEO from the market and distribute to Leo Power holders. Those with stake are going to find they are no longer the product.
In other words, there is financial incentive to make your time on Leofinance as valuable as possible. This means not only creating content but also distributing in areas where others might see it. We are talking, of course, about social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
The image of the iceberg is something that I always keep in mind. We need to understand this in terms of the search engine spiders. It is the goal to establish as many ways into Leofinance as possible. Obviously, right now the best is Google but there is only so much individuals can do about that.
What we do have control over is the content we create. There is also that articles that were created in the past.
Unlike most of Hive, this suddenly has value. If something is out there, is could be a feeder into Leofinance. Anything that is sent is a bonus. No longer are we dependent simply on the most recent articles.
The key is to keep growing our iceberg as much as we can. This is why many suggest taking an article and creating a threadstorm out of it. There is another piece of information to run across. There is, naturally, an internal link back to the original post. It is something that can be enhanced by dropping into Twitter or on Facebook.
All Can Be Pathways
Anything that is (or was) created on Leofinance now has value again. It will be monetized by the platform. It also can serve as a path in.
Referring back to our iceberg, this one keeps growing. Every new article (or thread) is another piece on top. However, we should not overlook all that is underneath. We have roughly 4 years of articles and engagement that is in our database.
This should be reawakened.
Did you write some superb stuff a few years ago? Perhaps it is a great time to drop that into one of your other social media apps. It could drive a bit of traffic to Leofinance. It also would likely make a terrific threadstorm.
We often discuss the idea of internal links when referring to LeoGlossary. Here is an opportunity to create another one with a threadstorm. Some addition traffic could come from traditional social media. You never knows who reads your stuff. If it is someone on Hive, that person might hit the follow button.
I discussed how each account is a business. This is something that we have to apply. In doing so, by marketing our content, we can start the process of driving traffic to the platform. Unlike most social media, with Leofinance those who have any LEO staked have a vested financial interest.
The idea is to position ourselves for when things go exponential. With a foundation being put in place, we can see how the future is unfolding. LeoAds is just the first step in a longer process of revenue generation.
For that to happen, we have to utilize all the resources at our disposal. To me, that means tapping into 4 years worth of content that is sitting in the Leofinance database.
