For months we discussed the next generation of ad revenues. Even in the last couple weeks, we saw evidence of another step forward that will be coming in the project.
Unfortunately, it seems few are taking the action required to position themselves. This was something that people should have prepared for months ago.
At that time, when the new UI was released, what did I mention? Page views. Repeatedly I mentioned how it was vital to get the numbers up. We had starts and stops with the counter, but the premise was always the same.
It appears that mostly fell on deaf ears.
Another topic of discussion was going through older content and refreshing it. We are no longer simply dealing with the 7 day voting window. Content outside of that has monetary value since pages can contain ads.
Again, what was done to enhance this? Each person will have to answer this for themselves.
That said, LeoGlossary is stepping up. This is going to, over the long-term, generate a ton of revenue.
Small Numbers Can Tell The Story
There is no doubt the numbers on LEO are small in general. There is nothing that really stands out as outstanding. Anything that was gaining some momentum has lost it due to the change in the website. This means we are now basically starting anew.
Nevertheless, internally we can make some progress. While the outside world will not know a ton about us, we do. That means we can utilize the platform for much more than we are doing.
Earlier the counter for long form content went live on Labs. It is the first time we are seeing the total page counts.
Here are a couple snapshots that I took.
The LeoGlossary Main Menu page:

The Money page:

Now, I have no idea when the counter started tracking. These numbers are definitely longer than just today.
That said, like most things on Leo, it is a starting point. We are now establishing benchmarks. As they say, you have to start somewhere.
So why do I say LeoGlossay is going to generate a ton of revenue. Right now, there is a simple answer: pages.
To get views, we need pages. The most recent look at Hivebuzz tells us we are almost at 4,000 pages. The key is most of these are interconnected with links among them. Some are over 100 links to other LeoGlossary pages.

What is crucial is these numbers keep growing. Each day dozens of more pages are added. There is also a refresh of many pages. When this is done, new links are added, enhancing the content.
Fortunately, things are able to go exponential.
Massive Growth Planned
The ad revenue program is revolutionary for Hive because it can provide a stream of income. Here we see where resources can become available to further enhance the project.
When thinking about this, we now harken upon what is missing in most of crypto. Since there is little building, people are after the quick buck. Price go up is what people are simply concerned about.
With LeoGlossary, there is a different approach. The resource that come in can be paid to people for participating in the project. Right now it is small with only 4 people (including myself). Nevertheless, between all of us, we are generating some content.
Consider what becomes possible if that number grew to 20.
It becomes a circular feedback mechanism. The most ad revenue generated, the more resources available to get people to create more pages. Hopefully, the addition of more content will lead to more page views, creating more revenue.
Rinse and repeat.
We are now in the situation where the ad revenue discussion is in the hundreds of dollars per week. Again, this is our benchmark so this is nothing to get upset about.
The next goal is to push that into the thousands of dollars per week. That means a 10x from where we are.
After that, 10x it again.
When dealing with small numbers, especially in the digital world, we can see how this can go parabolic.
A site that pulls down $250K per year in ad revenue is nothing. That is almost a non-entity online. Yet that is $5,000 per week. What would that do for the price of $LEO?
Page Views Are A Habit
For the time being, page views are a habit we all have to adopt.
The ideal is to get the Leo URL ranking in the search engines. On that front, some progress was made in that a few of the recent InLeo pages are now ranked ahead of the other Hive front ends. This isn't for every term but a few are starting to creep up.
It is going to be a grind, one that I am prepared for. The last month was very focused with a lot more coming up.
Wikipedia is estimated to be worth $5 billion. This is a metric that tells me there is plenty of value out there to be had.
Even a few million in value for LeoGlossary would enhance Leo a great deal. The entire market capitalization of the token is still under $1 million.
We can be certain that Leo will design its own ad platform to integrate in. This will boost the revenue even higher. The key to that is page views.
All have to start now. Do not take this lightly. If you have Leo Power in your wallet, you are going to want to do all you can to enhance that.
If we do the basics at the moment, we will see the network effect take hold at some point. It still is likely a couple years down the road but that is what building is all about.
Do you want to see $10 LEO? Then you best get busy.
Start using LeoGlossary as a reference. Go through and copy the URL and link that into your articles. We are looking to build this to a massive level.
That said, it is going to take the participation of more than just a couple people.
