There is a lot taking place with LeoThreads. We know there are weekly updates coming from the development team.
This week, announced on the AMA, there was a new feature that was added to LeoThreads. It is a way to get news and information on LeoThreads. Right now it is in early testing but the rollout is happening.
The feature is News2Threads. It is located in the Leofinance discord and is a way for content to be captured from the Internet and applied to LeoThreads. The interesting part is that it utilizing ChatGPT technology to help it create the Threads.
Here are the present topics covered:
- crypto
- finance
- politics
- business
- world
- tech
- fintech
- sports
Obviously the goal is to add more at a later date. This is just a list to get things started.
What Is News2Threads?
This is a discord based application that allows users to submit articles. The bot captures the article, "reads" it, and generates a Threadstorm.
Above is a Threadstorm posted by the Crypto Insights account. It was an article from a site such as Cointelegraph that was submitted. ChatGPT took a hold of it and created this post.
Essentially, we are looking at a mechanism that allows for quick snippets of news and information to be posted on Threads. Of course, one can follow the related accounts of interest to get the relavent Threadstorms each day.
Imagine being able to get a vast portion of your cryptonews in this manner - grabbing articles from the main crypto media sites and having them condensed into easily digestible ideas.
Leo Power Holders
This is available to those with 50K worth of Leo Power. It is an easy to use application that requires only a couple entries along with the link to the site chosen. At the moment the number of sites that can be processed is rather limited.
Here is a screenshot of the bot after it processes the story and a Threadstorm created. It will be interesting to see how the project unfolds further. After testing, I hope this is expanded even more.
We can presume based upon this exchange that we are going to see more sites added to the bot.
It evidently is a process but the growth of the platform is taking place. Ultimately there will be a day when LeoThreads is able to bring breaking information to the members of the community. This can come from community members posting individual threads or grabbing articles from mainstream sites.
All of this is designed to enhance the value of information that LeoThreads brings.
We are not dealing with the end all. However, it is one of those features that can add to the platform.
More is being developed.
