LEO is a digital platform. This means that certain tenets of all platforms hold true.
We are also looking at technology. Anything that is in the digital world falls under the "laws". As long as development is taking place, we are able to see progress.
With Leo, we have a few areas this is the case.
More Features = More Areas of Convergence
The most noticeable about any digital platform is the fact that more features can be added. This is the most basic precept.
Whenever there are more things for people to utilize, expansion can take place. This will be reflected in the numbers, something the metrics will chart.
In the digital realm, we often see page views, DAU or MAU, time on site, and a host of other areas of quantification designed to provide insight into the progress of the platform.
All of this is aided by more features. Again, if there is more for people to utilize, a certain percentage will do just that.
For Leo, this starts with the InLeo UI. Here is where we see the ability to post content including polls, videos, and a host of other media for people to interact with.
This is the basic foundation for all that takes place.
LeoDex And Leo Premium
Leo has designed two aspects to its ecosystem that enhance what was just described.
Since there is the monetization aspect to this platform, LeoDex is an on and off ramp to Hive. This allows for Leo to be potentially placed in the middle of any growth that can take place here. Even if it is slow, the entire ecosystem is enhanced the deeper this becomes.
Leo Premium is a concept that is well tested. The idea of subscriptions was proven by many different companies.
We have written about this on numerous occasions, noting how important it is. From here, the ability to integrate both inside and outside the platform exists.
Each of these is experiencing growth at its own pace. This not only includes the number of subscribers or transactions but also the development tied to each. New featured are being added, enhancing the utility. For LeoDex, there is also development on the outside from the Maya development team that can also expand what LeoDex is used for.
This is a key component to convergence.
Technological Convergence
When technologies come together, they explode.
Over the last few months, a number of articles came out regarding the flywheel effect. Here is where we see this concept broken down even further.
The idea of convergence is bringing different technologies (or applications) together, after each progressed on its own. To me, the best example of this is the smartphone. That combined compute, mobile, and the Internet along with battery and screen technology.
Is this exactly like that? Not quite.
What we are doing is looking at the pattern that evolves. It is also what generates exponentiality. This is also the secret behind successful companies such as Meta, Google, and Amazon.
The key is to consider the layering process. We have seen a couple projects start to tap into what is being developed here. In this sense, some of these can operate as infrastructure for others to utilize.
Nothing In A Vacuum
We are use to thinking in a linear manner. It is part of the human condition.
The challenge is when we enter the digital realm, nothing is linear. In fact, scientists conclude this is the case for all complex organisms. The economy follows a similar pattern.
It we concentrate on the layering process, we can see how each activity can generate multiple areas of impact. Probably the easiest notion of this is the data we generate online. For years we posted on different social media platforms. These were exponential in nature due to the series of network effects they were able to leverage.
Recently, we got another layer of insight.
The data we generated by posting online was used to trained LLMs. These led to the creation of Grok, Genesis, and Llama3. Hence, we see how the single comment was more than that.
We do not stop here however. Each time there is a prompt on those platforms, more data is generated. This becomes a feedback loop that keeps evolving. While some believe there is a degradation in the data as it is synthetically manufactured, this is still an untested theory.
The point here is we are going to see more areas where this is happening. It is likely that another layer or two will be added over time.
For Leo, this is the path to follow. It is why I feel that LeoAI is one of the most important features that will be added.
It simply is where the future resides.
