We are gaining some insight into how things in the medium term are going to shape up.
Over the last couple years, pieces were put in place that are starting to be unified. While some are still in conceptual form, we can begin to understand how these are layered together.
In this article we will cover how some of the different pieces are merging.
Here is a chart of the page views. This is something we discussed on numerous occasions. It will be revisited in a bit.
This is crucial going forward. For now, we are looking at something rather constant. Over the last month, there are some ups and downs. Nevertheless, it is aLllwithin the same range.
Video
We are awaiting the addition of video to the LEO platform.
This is going to really enhance the number of page views. Over the last week, we were informed of what is going to accompany this addition.
If video was the only addition, this might be a problem. We have an issue with content getting lose, as we can see with Threads.
The first addition is the fact that video will have its own page. This includes LeoShorts. That is helpful as a way to find the videos, especially since they can be loaded through threads.
Another important feature is a recommend engine. This is crucial to put more (similar) content in front of others.
What this does is provides the opportunity to significantly increase page views. We all know the success of shorts. As we develop a library of content, it will be fed through the recommend engine, further adding to the page views.
This is a central characteristic of digital platforms.
Ad Revenue
We got a quick taste of ad revenue at one point.
This is being reworked as the path we were going was not bearing any fruits. Part of this includes the development of our own platform. This is similar to what companies such as Facebook and Google did.

This means that the platform is being developed already. We were told this could start in July but it ahead of schedule.
Page views has a direct bearing on ad revenues due to the fact that payments are made based upon the amount of traffic. Naturally, this is only one metric that are used by online site. Other facts such as time on site, number of pages, and overall site ranking.
The fact that we have videos being added, we can see an increase in page views. This will help to feed into the amount that can be charged for ads.
We know that ad revenue is a central part of tokenomics.
LeoAI
This is something that is a bit further out but is worthy of mention.
LeoAI is something that is going to add a major element to the platform. This is going to provide ChatGPT like prompting along with co-pilot functionality. In addition to the LLM, it is also trained upon all Hive data.
How does LeoAI factor into this?
To start, it will have its own InLeo page. This means that we are dealing with another opportunity at page views. The ability to do search is effectively going to be offered on Leo. This will be a major step forward.
The other advantage is how it feeds into the tokenomics.
LeoAI will only be available to those who have premium membership. This means that the value of the service is going to appreciate dramatically. As more memberships are purchased, the money is used to purchase LEO (and CACAO), then placed as permanent liquidity.
Once this is released, the ability to have AI capabilities in addition to the other features for the same 10 HBD.
This is the basic structure that is being followed over the near term, which I would say will carry us through the rest of 2024. We will see what is added after that.
