The Evolution of LEO continues.
What is great about this is that we gain insight into where things are going. Each week, on the AMA, we are able to ask questions while receiving answers, for the most part, regarding the direction of things.
It is like having a stock earning call except they happen weekly compared to quarterly.
For this reason, we are able to plan a head.
Remember all the discussion about LeoAds and how that was going to be the new model. People had able time to prepare. The question is did they? How many people went through old posts to give them a refresh? Did people use the Leo interface for their long form posting or did they opt for another front end, giving up the potential ad revenue on that article?
These are questions which tell the direction people are willing to go in. Are you one who is going to take advantage of what is being constructed?
Now we have the next leg to look forward] to. The present system is in place. We know the smart contract is going to do the buy weekly.
Hence, it is time for us to turn our attention to something else.
Pageviews
At the moment, are not aware of what impact pageviews have on the existing ad revenue. This could be something that is based upon direct ad clicks or might have some sort of combination of pageviews associated with it.
Whatever the program, it really doesn't matter for the sake of this article. Here we are looking forward to the next major step in the ad revenue campaign.
It was clearly stated that we are dealing with a 1/10th situation. Whatever revenue is being generated, it is 90% less than could be created if Leo had its own ad revenue system. This means designing something similar to what Facebook utilizes.
What this means is direct advertising by companies on Leo. This moves us into the situation where Leo sets the price. Of course, there has to be metrics that align with the prices being charged.
Here is where pageviews enter the picture.
A site with 500K views is not going to be able to command as much on each ad as one pulling down 2 million pageviews per month. Obviously, the latter gives the advertisers greater exposure, necessitating a higher fee.
Welcome to the new focus of Leo.
It is imperative that we begin now on improving our pageviews. This is something that has to be in place for a while before the pricing can reflect that. A boost one month before the new system goes in place is not going to cut it.
Therefore, over the next 6 months, everyone needs to generate as many pageviews as possible.
Doing Everything Possible
Pageviews are something that requires effort from a lot of people.
At present, we are fairly consistent throughout the month. The above image shows the stats from SimpleAnalytics. We are around 15K pageviews per day. Over the course of the month, this works out to 464K. Here is our starting point.
The key is to remember what is coming. Would you like to see $20K per month in ad revenue? Is that something that the community feels would help out the price of $LEO?
If so, then you know what your mission is. We have to get the pageviews going up much higher.
Unfortunately, for the moment, this means simply clicking manually throughout the day. We are at a time when the search engine rankings are messed up due to the name change. This will resolve itself in time, something that we cannot accelerate.
In the meantime, we all can do our best to add where we can. This means doing little things like clicking and opening up a thread in a new tab on desktop. Here we see another pageview added.
No Excuses
We are now at the point where there are really no excuses for anyone who is sitting on Leo Power. In the past, there was questions of whether the team would deliver. The fact the contract is live, LEO is being purchased, and will be distributed at some point next month all leads to the same conclusion.
The next major stage is going to be the design of a Leo Ad Revenue platform. That means we do not want to be at the point where it goes live and we have 464K page views for the previous 30 days.
In short, that is unacceptable.
If you want to get paid, it is time to put forth some effort. It is easy to sit back and let others do the work. That is not how this goes.
Evergreen payments are going to be a big part of this. Right there is incentive for people to do what they can to get more pageviews to their content. Of course, this does not mean repeatedly clicking on your own stuff.
Again, that is short-sighted.
If you want more clicks on your articles, begin by clicking on others. While that helps them with their Evergreen payouts, it will, at some point, aid the entire system.
Pageviews are an important component.
It is time to begin the process of upping the game.
