I spend a lot of time seeking out ways to increase page views. Much of this stems from linking content together in ways that make it easier for people to move around. Over time, the connections built within the network will mean that certain pages end up being hubs, naturally creating more connections.
Before we get there, a lot of work is required. This is a long term process, one which comes from building. If we look at the history of Web 2.0, we see how things were slow to start for most of them. Some were down a large part of the time in their earliest years.
For that reason, a shift in mindset is required.
It Is Time To Use Threads Like Twitter
Obviously, looking at the thread above, we see where this is going.
How often have you seen a thread embedded into an article? To rephrase, how many people even considered this idea?
We often discuss the idea of repurposing content. Here is a prime example of how it can be done.
Why is this the case?
Simply put, do we not see the same thing on Twitter. In fact, how often do we see people embedding Tweets in their articles (posts) on Hive? It is commonplace.
Could this be done with Threads? Of course.

Of course, nothing enhances something online like a video. How many times have we seen a YouTube video placed inside an article?
Now, how about embedding it first as a thread and them posting it here?

As we can see, it works for a variety of media. With the video, the user can watch it right in the player but hitting the play button or go to the thread itself.
Page Views And Promotion
It seems that everyone is so intent on marketing and trying to get people to come over. What gets overlooked is the fact that we are a social media platform (among other things). Why not do the promotion simply by utilizing the product?
There is nothing difficult about what was done for this article. It only requires copying the thread URL and dropping it into the article. Nothing could be easier.
The advantage to this is we start to put threads in front of people, even if they are simply reading an article. It one clicks on the thread, they are instantly brought to the site. This is an added advantage when looking at promotion. It is silent, non-intrusive, and ends up with the potential to generate page views.
We have a lot of focus upon the outside, instead of concentrating on building our product and how we utilize it. There are innumerable use cases for threads, something that I have talked about on many occasions. People are going to be surprised when they see some of what is being built with threads as the basis of it.

It is crucial to repurpose as much of the database as we can. When something is created, why only use it once? This is a failed mindset.
They key is to build a library of information. This is what Google does so well. At this point, it has basically become a need for many people. When it comes to video and search, it is the undisputed leader. We will see how it stacks up as we proceed into the AI race.
The point being that network principles still apply. It is something few seemed to have investigated. However, there are certain characteristics that always unfold, regardless of the network. Understanding this could provide people on here with great insight.
