Alrighty then I said!
My first ever post on Leo Finance...
It was exactly 10 months ago and was on the first of January this year that I first posted in LeoFinance.
It was actually only my 11th post on the Hive Blockchain. So yes a newbie last year and truth be told still a newbie now!
As you can see it was not that successful even if it was for a PUD post.
In the beginning I only posted once a month in LeoFinance, over time that gradually increased...
I will not dwell on how LeoFinance was when I first joined, that is because well honestly...
I have no fluffing idea what LeoFinance was like!
I found it incredibly hard to get any engagement. I would comment and comment on post after post. Often no answer, sometimes a vote on a comment.
What I heard about LeoFinance being a Closed Shop was in my experience very true...

WHAT DO ANIMALS DO?
They live in the NOW!
So as we are Lions or wannabe Lions living in our Den that is the LeoVerse let's talk about the NOW!
You might have guessed I am all about the engagement, for me Hive and all the communities of which LeoFinance is one are all about being Social...
As we know LeoFinance is all abuout Finance and I am NOT going to touch that side.
Instead I am going to feature 4 things that are in the LeoVerse of Now that were not in the LeoFinance of Then

As you can see from their profile, the @leogrowth account is focused on growing the Leo Finance ecosystem, and the account is run by @anomadsoul
Since he has got involved with the account, we have seen numerous things spring up in the LeoVerse including lpud, threads and numerous contests, all of which Iwill talk about separately.
You might have also noticed that he is out about on Hive in other communities getting LEO to be given away in competitions..
In fact one of my favourite communities Feathered Friends was one such coomunity and I actually received some LEO as a prize. Woot Woot and talking of Feathered Friends I have a treat for you @coquicoin!
Leo Power Up Day
I am sure that most of you will be familiar with Hive Poweer Up Day or HPUD where you power up at least 10 hive on the first of the month to have a chance of winning a delegation and getting a badge.
Well on the 15th June the LeoVerse had its very own power up day called surprise surprise Leo Power Up Day or #lpud for short...
And you know what?
#lpud fluffing rocks!!!
We power up at least 150 LEO on the 15th of the month and make a post about it, we can win a delegation.
Did you know that in the August lpud I won a 20,000 LEO POWER delegation?
I sure as heck did and it was super cool ...
Then last month, thanks to the work of @leogrowth we got the lpud badge...
Yet another reason I love the LeoVerse of Now

Threads are fluffing awesome...
In the past my posts got no engagement, and it was very hard to be noticed. I felt like the new boy at school, or Billy No Mates..
Posts on LeoFinance tend to be on average shorter than on the rest of Hive.
Threads were released on 4th August 2022 and is our better version of twitter.
They are micro blogging, you can post a thread of upto 240 characters and a link, picture etc etc...
Now then why did I say that they are fluffing awesome?

On threads
The boss man Khal @khaleelkazi votes on threads and is way more active in there. So you get noticed
It is a win-win for everyone.
One final awesome thing about threads...
They can be about anything, it does not have to be finance related, so yes @coquicoin I could post the pie children there!
contests
There are now weekly contests where you can win 20,30, 50 even 100 LEO!
Go check out @hodlcommunity and @indiaunited as they host weekly contests.
These all help spread awareness of the LeoVerse and get more people to visit and participate in the LeoVerse.
The Future of the LeoVerse
The LeoVerse is moving so fast that often the things I want to be incorporated get incorporated!
But I would like the following if possible...

- For all our LeoFinance posts to be on our profile

Anything else and I am being greedy!
