Now that the Inleo referral program has been officially kicked off, I want to share my referral progress and what I have been doing to promote the platform. In just 5 days, I've managed to get 5 sign-ups through my referral link, earning a total of 115 LEO, which equals about $9.15. Currently, only 2 out of those 5 referrals have successfully created threads on the platform.
Most of my time has been dedicated to reaching out through WhatsApp and talking to friends directly. This approach has been effective, but it has also highlighted the challenge of educating newcomers. The interesting part? Most of them are complete beginners who know nothing about Web3 or cryptocurrency. Teaching these people how the platform works has been quite a challenge, and it is funny how what seems like the easiest things to me are always the hardest for other people.
This process has been full of a host of conversations, and common within many is a kind of intimidation based on crypto-idea jargon and complexity. I balance understanding with simplicity by breaking them down into easily digestible pieces. For instance, what blockchain is can be explained in layman's language. Say explaining this through analogies related to something relevant to everyday experience.
Now, I’m taking my referral campaign to the next level by targeting crypto-focused platforms. I've started promoting on read.cash, Tangle.com, Torum.com, Deso Social, and various Telegram groups. This shift in strategy should help reach people who are already familiar with the crypto space. Engaging in discussions on these platforms has been a game changer. I've found that many users are open to exploring new projects and are actively looking for innovative platforms to join. I've crafted messages showcasing Inleo's unique value proposition, mainly its ease of use and the ability for a community to form around it.
Well, it's been an eye-opener, to say the least the knowledge we think is so basic is not necessarily so. The challenges aside, I am still learning and trying to adapt and increase my reach with the promotion for newcomers and experienced crypto users alike. Patience is one important thing that I have learned. You must allow friends time to ask questions when you are introducing them to something new. Also, over time, I started making easy-to-understand guides and resources to give out to my referrals. It's a good idea to be there in easing the onboarding process.
Moving forward, I look to make full use of social media. It's not just about rewards with this referral journey; it's building a community around Inleo. I'm excited about where this could take me on this journey and how many more people I will be able to help navigate the world of Web3.
Stay tuned for more updates about my progress, as well as insights from my ongoing effort in the Inleo referral program.
