When One looks at Leofinance.io One sees a project that got transformed from a dream to a living reality that keeps getting better in the equal opportunities it creates for all its community members
What is a life without a dream ? However without realizing your dreams life can be pretty meaningless.
The same goes for the decentralized financial platform leofinance.io
The brainchild of @khaleelkazi that is painstaking being built over the years on the hive blockchain.
Soon after the birth of Hive came the opportunity of building communities or tribes on the hive ecosystem that @khaleelkazi or Khal as he is lovingly called and referred to in the community grabbed with both hands to build a platform that we know as leofinance.io
Hive seemed the best platform to live the web 3.0 dreams with a well oiled platform experience that the hive blockchain offers for any project to launch its fronted.
That being said it may be noted that the journey of Leofinance.io and @khaleelkazi has been full of bumps and roadblocks.
My first thoughts about leofinance.io
Back in the day Leofinance started as any other community/ tribe on the hive blockchain. This was my first thought about the project.
This was basically because whenever I heard or read the word "finance" I was at a loss of thoughts it seems to me like an alien subject which I never learned at school.
However when I realized that people wrote a lot about Hive and how the leofinance platform was taking shape I felt relaxed and at ease.
Slowly I began to read posts about share trading, stock markets and so many other topics that may be deemed related to hard core finance.
The beauty of it was that not of this content was being written by some seasoned journalist.
Instead it was by people like you and me. In their posts people were narrating their experiences and sharing their idea and complex concepts in simple to understand terms.
Web 3.0 had actually arrived with hive and leofinance.io
One could say Web.3.0 requires a couple of ingredients namely
Decentralization : Leofinance.io is decentralized platform
User generated content: Leofinance.io displays tons of user generated content with zero restriction of any kind.
Tokenization: Even on this count leofinance.io scores 100% marks.
This only shows how web 3.0 ready the leofinance.io experience has been from day 1
So what has changed ever since ?
It is more content rich and diverse
I would say earlier the content was more Hive and leofinance centric however now I find it to be far more diverse.
As a user if I step back and see it seems we are addressing to the needs of the global audiences. Today what we as users write on Leofinance.io is relevant not only to as as community members of hive and leofinance but to a larger global audiences.
This also seems to be supported by the numbers.
Look at the data from 2020
It shows 95000 visitors in the last 3 months
Look at the data now 178000 visitors in the last three months
This clearly shows how the relevance of the content present of leofinance.io has grown.

This Clearly shows how leofinance.io has cemented its places in the minds of visitors who see this community as the go to place for authentic information related to investing, finance, and cryptocurrency
Easier on boarding
On boarding new users was a key matrix that the team behind leofinance.io has supported.
I came to hive when it got forked from the legacy chain however today when I have to refer friends who want to take the leap from the world of web 2.0 to web 3.0 this getting started button and the sign up process of hive looks like this.
This makes on boarding super easy!
The user experience has evolved
For those of us who are still on our laptops and desktops the user interface is far more well structured and organized from earlier days.
Perhaps just to avoid us from getting inundated with too much info the content is organised into easy to follow menu
Plus there are dedicated communities one can visit

Earlier I remember how one used to google to search for terms and concepts related to finance, crypto and blockchains.
However first https://leopedia.io/
and then leoglossary have now become the goto places to look for information.

Earlier there was the legacy steem engine style dex which has been replaced by the modern and more functional leodex.io
Where do you invest your crypto ?
Despite the fact that the leofinance.io community is quite crypto and tech savvy however there is no denying the fact that scams are rampant in the crypto space and so we need a reliable place to park our crypto, stake it and grow it.
So from a insiders perspective one could say we need such a pool for the community.
So perhaps with this intent https://cubdefi.com was born. This was not there in the earler days but now it is the hub of activity when it comes to trading , staking wrapping, unwrapping your crypto.

Threads is the equivalent of twitter in the sense that it has the small messaging format that twitter uses.
however the similarity ends here for one this is decentralized so no one gets to mess with your privacy. What you write here stays here for good no deletion and no arm twisting of any kind.
Leofinance has grown realizing one size does not fit all
Every use has a different need and with this intent leofinance has over the time built a number of apps which can be accessed from the main menu.
They were never there to start with however got developed and added to the eco system as the need arose.
So what is leofinance today?
It is a melting pot of idea and cultures. In all practicality it is like a land of opportunity where you can come and live without a visa (A true a nd living web 3.0 experience) work and create a source of defi income from anywhere you are. There are do demographic boundaries to stop you !
With contest and so many community initiatives there is no shortage of opportunity to earn some crypto.
@leo.tasks and so many initiatives are getting rolled out on a regular basis that help you earn some cool up votes, hive and leo tokens.

May I suggest a few features ?
- I look forward to see a nft market place similar to open sea where users are helped to create nfts and marketing help is provided to them.
- I would like to directly post from my external blog to the leofinance.io interface. Perhaps a dedicated plugin something similar to a wordpress plugin.
- Ability to turn off / customize ads on a blog. I know adverts are the life line of additional revenue however perhaps as an experiment it can be tried out to turn off or tweak adverts being displayed on a users leofinance account or giving the user the ability to run their own ads. Perhaps this can be seen as a free as well as paid feature.
- Ability to have more tags to better handle SEO
Currently one is tempted to add as many community tags to get as much internal traffic . If we can add more tags we can address the SEO requirements from audiences that see our post from google. This would help bring more traffic and users from outside onto leofinance.io and hive. - A remedy for my butter fingers in hive : could we have a delete button to delete/edit a thread which needs to be deleted for what ever reason.
How I wish somethings never change on Leofinance
Looking back I can think of so many changes that I have witnessed however I would like to mention one thing that has remained unchanged and that is the guy who started it all @khaleelkazi.
@khaleelkazi has seen its share of ups and down.
however it is the grid and determination shown by @khaleelkazi that has made him the man of the moment on many occasions.
I clearly remember when we tried to wrap the leo token on ethereum. It all seemed to go well till there was a hack and the pool got drained.
@khaleelkazi had a difficult time facing all the blame but the man that he made him take a stand that helped stabilize the rocking boat.
He put together the money to compensate the users who had lost their money due to the hack.
This event gave ample proof of the strength of character shown by a young person in times of stress.
For every achievement that leofinance.io has seen there have been its share of setbacks yet for either the project nor for @khaleelkazi there is no going back or backing out.
As a member of the community I can hope that this constant remains and never changes for the project.
