My first reached goal: 3333 CTP
Let's just start with the obvious after reaching a goal, the one that I reached much earlier than expected: 3333 CTP. I explained in my previous update post that the goal of 3333 CTP was more a tentative number because of the double digits that I love. It wasn't based on curation rewards or anything. At the time, I was part of the challenge to see if I could buy enough CTP tokens to get myself up in the top 10 that ended on December 22nd. Being new to the CTP tribe, I still had to find out what was a reasonable goal and what would be realistic.
Even though I have been buying a lot of tokens, I ended up at the 11th spot in the contest I think. I was very close to winning an NFT but it slipped through my hands. But I did win a few things: I reached my goal, yay! The first one to wipe off the list! And on top of that, I see extra curation come in every day thanks to me joining this challenge and making sure I reached my goal in time.
First CPT goal: 3333 CTP Power before January 1, 2022. (Completed)
Second CTP goal: 6666 CTP Power before February 1, 2022.
Hive Power
Currently, I have 1397.505 Hive Power staked. From that, 890 HP is delegated to other accounts. Some to maximise earnings, others to help a newbie on Hive out.
In the last update, I had 500 HP delegated to @leo.voter and was earning some LEO each day. I liked the earnings but decided to up my delegation to 750 HP as I had just had a nice boost in my earnings anyway.
Almost 2 LEOs a day is not bad, is it? I will most likely update this delegation again when I see an opportunity as it's a good way to accumulate more tokens while I can't vote enough with my account anyway due to lack of time.
First Hive Goal: 1500 HP Before 2022 (Almost there)
Second Hive Goal: 2500 HP Before April 1, 2022
For now, I'm sticking to the goals that I set, and will do everything in my power to have 1500 Hive staked before the new year. I will probably need to take some HBD savings out in a few days unless I sell some Punks as I don't think I have enough rewards pending before the end of the year.
Failure is not an option (If I can avoid it!)
As I reached 1 out of 3 goals very early on thanks to my HBD earnings, I decided to shift my focus a bit to LEO, meaning that goal 2 for CTP still stands but moves a bit to the background while I start buying LEO. Leo is more expensive than CTP but still cheap and will most likely start going up in value a lot at some point, I feel this is the right moment to start focusing on that. I will explain the Leo paragraph that got me thinking to change this.
Leo & Leo Power
For now, I'm holding some liquids of LEO in my main account (this one) because of the rumours of an airdrop when blank is released. I have doubted to stake them in my @thisismylife.leo account, to add to the stake and so earn more curation, but I'm afraid I will regret it if I get a staked airdrop on my LEO account while I wish to use my main. So I'm spreading the funds over these two accounts instead. I read somewhere that for the upcoming airdrop(s) liquid LEO also counts, making my decision a lot easier to keep part of it liquid.
I did a trial of delegating to @meowcurator for passive income in Leo tokens until I realized that 0.044 LEO a day is probably easily topped by maximising curation on Leo content. I already followed the @onealfa.leo & @taskmaster4450le accounts for that and decided to start focussing on that again. I will add more LEO (50/50 main and Leo alt probably) from next week on and hopefully see more curation in LEO come in.
I have to thank @nathanmars for his comment on one of my last posts about the Hive goals. He's the one that got me thinking if I really should postpone including $LEO in my goal list. His comment was short but clear, he advised me to start focusing on Leo rather sooner than later. I assumed he'd say this with reason or had inside info. Or maybe he just wanted to remind me that Leo is still dirt cheap compared to the current HIVE price and now's the time to buy it. Either way, thanks to Nathan, so Leo is now included in my plans.
I'm yet to set a goal for LEO, I will do this in the next update post when I have given that some thoughts to set realistic goals.
BRO goals
I love Bro, as it's such an easy way to accumulate a lot of other tokens by just holding the token in your wallet. It's passive income at its best if you ask me. @raymondspeaks is the one doing the hard work: connecting the projects to $BRO and we are getting rewarded. Bro is a bit more expensive than the other tokens I'm buying, and therefore I set myself these goals:
First $BRO goal: 150 BRO Before January 14, 2022
Second $BRO goal: 250 BRO before March 1, 2022
At the time, I was holding 79.97 BRO in my wallet, and I was hoping to get to 150 BRO before January 14, 2022. I did not expect to go on a buying spree after I published the previous update, but I can now proudly say that I'm getting a lot closer to the first goal:
I'm currently holding 113 something BRO in my wallet, which I mostly scooped up by keeping a close eye on the market. I put in some lower orders than the asking price, while the other 50% of the time, I just immediately bought them for the asking price. To reach my goal, I need to buy 36.42 more $BRO tokens, currently valued at 2.8 HIVE each. Meaning another 102 HIVE would be needed. I think I will buy most of them after the snapshots on January the 6th though. :)
Ways to reach my Hive goals
For now, I'm still going to continue to use earnings that come from within the Hive blockchain to reach my goals. This may change over time, but with other real-life goals that need my attention as well, I want to use the options I have on the Hive platform and try to grow without adding fiat funds.
This is mainly possible because I'm creating quite a bit of content, published in different communities and as long as I feel inspired, I can keep it up to build from within the Hive platform.

- Delegating HP to @poshtoken for POSH earnings
- selling daily SPS airdrop
- selling the Splinterlands vouchers
- selling other Hive Engine curation rewards
The list above is probably going to change as soon as I made up my mind on the goal and how to reach it. For example, I'm planning on staking the daily SPS airdrop again to compound and earn more rewards as soon as I reached a few other goals. For now, the airdrop is just a good help to reach some other goals I set myself. I can only make a certain amount of goals happen at the same time, so I prioritized.
Following the curation trail of @onealfa.vyb and @oneup.curator are new as I found @onealfa's post about it and @hetty-rowan told me about @flauwy's @oneup-curator option, similar to the @monster-curator trail I follow to receive SPT rewards. The small rewards will add up over time so I'm more than grateful for the manual curation of these kick-ass curators!
Other possible ways to boost the stakes:
- Creating more content! (priority!)
- Buying Splinterlands cards that either helps me get into the silver league and earn DEC for playing and/or are good to rent out (not a priority currently)
- Selling a few of my Hive Punks (I only sold 2 so far thanks for that @gonzo @elmerlin)
