I know we people into crypto are really into this and willing to go to all the events and talk about the current markets and what the future could bring; but this is the next level. Despite huge storm in Dubai, the conference Token2049 still succeeded.

Token2049 is a conference organized annually in Dubai and Singapore. This year it was held on Dubai, on April 18-19. The event congregates important figures from the Web3 world to discuss their different point of views, and with them, investors, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts.
Storm in Dubai
48 hours of cluster storms affected Dubai, with floods, fallen trees, lighting strikes, and strong winds. There were closed streets, delayed flights and more. The record rains reached over 10 inches of rain. This was unexpected, but according locals, the severe issues with the weather on Dubai have been a long term concern for a while and will continue to be.
Despite the storm, and the fact that multiple speakers had to return because of the closed streets and conditions on the Airports, the event succeeded and had a great attendance. Some people were just delayed so they were able to make it despite the conditions.
The attendees said it was worth it, because of the energy the community brought to the event. At the middle of the event the tickets were sold out.
