#PredictTheFuture Challenge Entry - What will the world be like in 2067?

It's the first day of the year, people still set goals for the new year and today is the day most of the promises to themselves are broken. One of the promises is always to do more exercise, there are a lot of machines you can use to do it without leaving your chair, but people don´t like the electricity moving their muscles, they want it to be even more easier. But there is the other face of the same coin: there are a lot of other people doing exercise when they don´t want too.

In 2017, a lot of politicians declared in the news that there was enough petroleum for 100 year more, but it was before they sped up the process of extraction, now there are barely 10 years left, and it's reserved to rich people, as are the main sources of clean water, which was treated as any other precious mineral since 2021.
Why is people exercising against their free will? Because gasoline is no more available, electricity is not enough to handle the creation and maintenance of vehicles and with the lack of water, wind power is now the main electricity source, What happened with solar energy? There is not sun enough, the clouds produced by contamination keeps the sky dark, and produce each cell is very expensive.

What we are witnessing is the renaissance of the nuclear energy. Feared by all since Chernobyl, has proven to be the cleanest, cheapest and safer than others when human errors are removed from the equation, and now with our AIs, we are more than prepared to try it again, also, since the 20's from this century, is known that some fungus have evolved to eat and transform radiation.

Secretly, two very visionary inventors, had grown them and modify them to eat the radiation very fast, cleaning up huge areas in hours. Now them and their team, are the ones putting nuclear energy again on the table. Well, to be fair, it has been on the table for long time, but, this is the first time we have the way to solve the problems that may arise as a consequence of another nuclear accident.

With the internet gaining more and more space, there is no need of bills or coins, now the most traditional people, use credit and debit cards, everybody else just do transfers from their online wallets or use their fingerprints to pay. The problem is, and is what a lot of companies are afraid off, everything depends on the internet functionality, and even when across the years its security has been shielded, problems as the energy sources threaten to destabilize that solid platform. That's other of the reason why finding alternative energy sources became very important, because if once the internet and energy fails in a global scale, the world will lose its main pilar, connection.
