This is my entry in the participation about the value of HBD in my area by @leogrowth
Talking about HBD , a stablecoin which is equivalent to a dollar or 1USDT. In my area, the exchange range of converting dollar to naira differs and it is in range from #430 - #480 depending on the Bank but the local market is at #550.
I currently reside in Ilorin, Nigeria and settling down there can be challenging but if one cut his coat according to his arms then things will be easy for such person.
The price of fuel is below 1HBD and taking a cab as well but that's depends on how far you're going within the town
Based on the current situation of market price in my area, 1HBD can buy 5 cups of beans, 4 cups of rice, spaghetti, drinks, and so on.
With 1HBD,I can cut my hair and buy like 3-4 bottles of water. A bottle of ground-nut oil can be get by 2HBD and bottle of palm oil at 1.5HBD. You can get Shawa fish with 1HBD and if you want Titus fish which is my favorite it will cost 2HBD or less depending on the size you're getting.
When settling down in my current location, the house rent price is very high considering where you want it. The lowest price you can get a room is #2500 to #3000 per month which will cost almost 5 to 6HBD depending on either you want access to electricity or not. The last time I rented a room, it cost me #2000 per month which I think cost like 4HBD.
At lea 10HBD can buy me a bag of semovita which presently cost #5000 and 10HBD can refilled my 6kg cooking gas as well.
The minimum wages in my area will cost 55HBD and some of the private sector pay less than that and compare to the people who pays #36000 on house rent per year which cost almost 66HBD more than minimum wage. How will they cope on the amount, when they still have some bills to settle.
I spent more than 70HBD per month especially on the foods, and other stuff as a family man with just a 5months old baby at hand.
The cost of education in Nigeria is very costly right now, you have think twice before sending your children to a specific school because of the huge amount they paying.
How would skip this that I am a sport person and I love football game so much. Getting a grade A football boots is really costly here in my state. It cost me #25000 to get one which is approximately 46HBD and the jerseys cost 6HBD upward.
That's all for now and thanks for visiting my blog and have a wonderful day
