Wie viele ETH wurden am ersten Tag geburnt und wie hat sich die Fee Situation entwickelt?
Seit der Aktivierung des London-Hardfork sind mittlerweile 22,5 Stunden bzw 5947 Blöcke vergangen und wir können eine erste Bilanz ziehen, wobei es noch zu früh ist, um eine abschließende Beurteilung der Auswirkungen von EIP-1559 zu machen.
Inflation vs. Burn-Rate
In diesem Zeitraum wurden insgesamt (ohne ETH 2.0 Staking Rewards) 11894 ETH geschürft und 4480.1 ETH an Base-Fees verbrannt, was eine Reduktion der Inflation um 37% ergibt, was schon ziemlich beachtlich ist und in etwa einem Bitcoin Halving-Event gleichkommen würde.
Während einem Bullrun bzw. wenn die Nachfrage nach Transaktionen anzieht, könnten sogar mehr Fees als die Inflation verbrannt werden, und Ether vorübergehend deflationär werden.
Fee-Entwicklung
Die Base-Fee schwankte am ersten Tag nach dem Hardfork zwischen 20 und 50 gwei, wobei die Priority-Fee derzeit zwischen 1-8 gwei liegt, teilweise aber auch 50 gwei betragen hat.
Der Median der gesamten Fee betrug laut Etherscan 45 gwei bei ähnlicher Auslastung wie in den letzten Tagen.
Insgesamt kann ich im Moment keine Reduktion der Fee-Situation aufgrund des EIP 1559 Forks erkennen.
Es ist eher anzunehmen, dass die Fees bei stärkerer Auslastung der Chain wieder drastisch zulegen werden.
Fazit
Der London-Hardfork ist ein großer Meilenstein für Ethereum und kann mit einem Bitcoin-Halving-Event verglichen werden.
Der Verglich mit Bitcoin zeigt aber auch, dass die Inflationsentwicklung von Ethereum wesentlich unberechenbarer ist und auch nach wie vor ein inflationärer Coin ist, während Bitcoin eine berechenbare Inflationskurve und einen fixen Supply garantiert.
Die Auswirkungen auf die Fee-Situation scheinen im Moment nur marginal zu sein und können noch nicht abschließend beurteilt werden.
Insgesamt ist der London-Hardfork ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung, um die Inflationsrate von Ethereum zu senken, indem ein Teil der Fees geburnt werden.

How many ETH were burned on the first day and how is the fee situation developing?
Since the activation of the London Hardfork, 22.5 hours or 5947 blocks have passed and we can can make a first assessment, although it is still too early to make a final evaluation of the impact of EIP-1559.
Inflation vs. Burn Rate
During this period, a total of 11894 ETH was mined (excluding ETH 2.0 Staking Rewards) and 4480.1 ETH of Base Fees were burned, resulting in a 37% reduction in inflation, which is quite remarkable and would be roughly equivalent to a Bitcoin halving event.
During a bull run, or when demand for transactions picks up, even more fees than inflation could be burned, and Ether could become temporarily deflationary.
Fee Development
The base fee fluctuated between 20 and 50 gwei on the first day after the hardfork, with the priority fee currently ranging between 1-8 gwei, but in some cases it has been as high as 50 gwei.
The median total fee was 45 gwei according to Etherscan with similar utilization compared to the last few days.
Overall, I can't see any reduction in the fee situation at the moment due to the EIP-1559 fork.
It is more likely that the fees will increase drastically again with a higher utilization of the chain.
Conclusion
The London hardfork is a major milestone for Ethereum and can be compared to a Bitcoin halving event.
However, the comparison with Bitcoin also shows that Ethereum's inflationary trend is much more unpredictable and also Ether may remain an inflationary coin, while Bitcoin offers a predictable inflation curve and a guaranteed fixed supply.
The impact on the fee situation seems to be marginal at the moment and cannot be assessed conclusively yet.
Overall, the London hardfork is a step in the right direction to lower Ethereum's inflation rate by burning some of the fees.
