Die geheime Bedeutung des Titels "Freechain"
"Freechain" ist der Titel, der Untertitel auf dem Filmplakat "Trust has unlimited value".
Ich sehe drei versteckte Bedeutungen hinter dem Titel.
Erstens steht FreeChain für Freiheit so wie in Free Speech, zweitens kann Free auch die Bedeutung wie in "Free Beer" haben, vielleicht eine Anspielung darauf, dass Hive keine Transaktionsgebühren hat, ein einzigartiges Feature der Chain. Und drittens ist es eine Anspielung auf den Befreiungsschlag von der feindlichen Übernahme durch Justin Sun/Tron und Steemit Inc.
Der Name gefällt mir ganz gut, wundere mich aber dass auf dem Filmplakat Hive gar nicht erwähnt wird, obwohl der Dokumentarfilm von Hive finanziert wurde.
"Trust has unlimited value"
"Trust has unlimited value" ist richtig, aber im Krypto-Space umstritten. Eigentlich möchten die Kryptopunk-Bewegung Systeme schaffen, die mit so wenig Trust wie möglich auskommen, Trustless ist das Zauberwort, da Trust von Menschen und Institutionen immer wieder gebrochen wird.
Bitcoin ist trustless, da man keiner einzelnen Instanz vertrauen muss und die Korrektheit von Transaktionen auch selber verifizieren kann. Jeder kann Miner werden oder Nodes betreiben, ohne jemanden um Erlaubnis fragen zu müssen.
Warum keine Referenz auf Hive im Titel?
@lordbutterfly erklärt das wie folgt: Der Film besteht aus 2 Teilen, ein Teil über Krypto im Allgemeinen und der andere über den Steem/Hive-Fork.
Der Film soll nicht Hive shillen, sondern die gesamte Krypto-Community ansprechen.
Ist ein Argument, trotzdem wäre ein Bezug auf die Hive/Steem Blockchain War im Titel meiner Meinung nach nützlich und angebracht.

The secret meaning of the title "Freechain"
"Freechain" is the title, the subtitle on the movie poster "Trust has unlimited value".
I see three hidden meanings behind the title.
First, FreeChain stands for freedom as in Free Speech; second, Free can also have the meaning as in "Free Beer," perhaps a reference to the fact that Hive has no transaction fees, a unique feature of the chain. And third, it's a reference to the liberation blow from the hostile takeover by Justin Sun/Tron and Steemit Inc.
I quite like the name, but wonder why the movie poster doesn't mention Hive, even though the documentary was funded by Hive.
"Trust has unlimited value"
"Trust has unlimited value" is correct, but controversial in the crypto space. Actually, the crypto punk movement wants to create systems that can operate with as little trust as possible, trustless is the magic word here, since trust is broken by people and institutions all the time.
Bitcoin is trustless because you don't have to trust any single entity and you can verify the correctness of the transactions yourself. Anyone can become a miner or run nodes without having to ask anyone for permission.
Why no reference to Hive in the title?
@lordbutterfly explains it as follows: The movie consists of 2 parts, one about crypto in general and the other about the Steem/Hive fork.
The movie is not meant to shill Hive, but to address the whole crypto community.
That's an argument, still a reference to the Hive/Steem blockchain war in the title would be useful in my opinion.
