Ubisoft hat jetzt ihr erstes NFT-basiertes Krypto-Game rausgebracht: "Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles". Erinnert mich ein bisschen an Splinterlands.
Bei Champion Tactics muss man Champions, kleine 3D-Krieger-Figuren sammeln, die dann gegeneinander kämpfen. Beide Spieler stellen zunächst ein Team mit 3 Champions auf. Das Game ist Runden-basiert. Vor jeder Runde wählt man für jeden noch lebenden Champion einen Skill und schafft damit einen Art Angriffsplan für die nächste Runde.
Es gewinnt derjenige Spieler, der zuerst alle drei Champions des Gegners killt. Es gibt auch Ranked Battles und Tournaments. Erinnert mich alles ein bisschen an Splinterlands. Nur 3D und etwas fancier.
Auf den ersten Blick ist das Gameplay aber ziemlich kompliziert. Man muss sich durch lange Tutorials durchkämpfen, bekommt dafür aber kostenlose Champions als Belohnung, die man aber nicht traden kann. "Soulbound" sozusagen.
Champions Tactics wird oft als Web3-Game bezeichnet, ist aber kein Web-basiertes Game, sondern man muss es am PC installieren, Ubisoft Connect und dann 2GB downloaden, und sich bei Ubisoft anmelden (KYC). Man kann Champion Tactics auch nicht in Ländern spielen, die von den USA sanktioniert werden.
Damit gehen gleich zu Begin fast alle Vorteile von Krypto verloren. Die Champions laufen übrigens auf der Oasys Blockchain, eine kleine Blockchain, die sich auf Games spezialisiert hat und den Gamern keine Transaktion-Fees verrechnet. Die Fees bzw. die Blockchain soll von den Game Studios finanziert werden.
Zusätzlich gibt es noch 10 Tausend Warlord NFTs, die ähnlich wie die Splinterlands Runi auf Ethereum geminted worden sind, und den Haltern von Warlords zusätzliche in-game Vorteile sichern sollen.
Sowohl die Champions (außer die Kostenlosen) als auch die Warlords können getraded werden. Die billigsten Champions kosten derzeit um die $6, der teuerste Champion (Swift Zealot) 57 Tausend Dollar.
Der Vorteil von NFT-basierten Krypto-Games ist, dass nicht nur das Game Studio mit dem Game Geld verdient, sondern auch Early-Adopter, wenn sie geschickt traden, davon profitieren können. Das ist der große Unterschied zu normalen "Free2Play"-Games, wo nur das Studio die Gamer abzockt, die Gamer aber eher leer ausgehen.

“Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles” is the first NFT-based crypto by Ubisoft.
In Champion Tactics, you have to collect champions, small 3D warrior figures, who then fight against each other. Both players first set up a team consisting of 3 champions. The game is then round-based. Before each round, you choose a skill for each champion still alive and create a kind of attack plan for the next round.
The player who kills all three of their opponent's champions first wins.
There are also ranked battles and tournaments. It all reminds me a bit of Splinterlands. Only in 3D and a bit fancier.
At first glance, however, the gameplay is quite complicated. You have to fight your way through long tutorials, but in return you get free champions as a reward, which you can't trade however. “Soulbound”, so to speak.
Champions Tactics is often referred to as a Web3 game, but it is not a web-based game: you have to install it on your PC, download Ubisoft Connect and then 2GB, and log in to Ubisoft (KYC). You also can't play Champion Tactics in countries that are sanctioned by the US.
