Good day, fellow HIVE users worldwide as well as dear readers from both HIVE and outside of it and fellow LeoFinance community users! For today's personal contribution here on LeoFinance, I decided to share my thoughts about the fact that we don't actually need a lot economically in life in order to be happy.

That's a very good question indeed. I hope you had and that this short post of mine would be another reason for a smile for you for today. Image source: Pixabay
How do I know this, you might ask? Well, I am primarily voicing my opinion from personal experience. A very good additional question on the matter would then be 'how much is enough'? Well, it depends on how much you need to spend in the first place to cover all your needs and basic commodities as well as on the country you level, your socio-economic status, and the current overall state of the economy in your country.
However, a lot of aspects regarding finance and economy are way too technical to be well understood by everyone (and even economists have a hard time sometimes grasping them), so my primary focus for this post is truly how much (or actually how little) we need in order to be happy.
I will write now from my perspective and personal experience. We need money, that's for certain, and we need spend to spend it wisely in order to be happy as well. This means cover our basic necessities first like food, water, and shelter. That's a lot for me to be happy about and tremendously grateful.
Then, just like in Maslow's pyramid, come other needs (but I am not going to delve that much into that at the moment). I will underline though the fact that, once again stemming from my personal experience, we need other things which can equally make us happy such as music, entertainment (primary films or a TV show of some kind), or literature.
But even these come second to the first category of necessities. And so, I strongly believe that even if you have a little, and that little you can share with someone, you can be happy. Happiness is something which comes genuinely from within in many contexts not from external circumstances. And, at the same time, I really believe that the best things in life are free.
Personally, if I have basic food, shelter, and water, I am happy, and I've been there and I know how it is. So I really don't need that much to be happy, after all. But, of course, I am not going to be a hypocrite and claim that I won't be happier if I would have more. However, this 'more', and I'm putting a particular emphasis here on it, I would like to be always well earned by me in the first place so I can truly enjoy it to the fullest extent possible, as it should, naturally.
That was basically all that I wanted to share for today in terms of how much is needed in economic regards in order to be happy. I truly hope you liked this post, found it interesting, and well worth your time. Thank you very much for your time, readership, attention, consideration, and positive feedback here on my HIVE blog! It means a lot to me indeed! Many blessings, much respect, plenty of success here on HIVE, and have an excellent autumn along with your dear ones! 🙂
