We have mentioned on more than one occasion that artificial intelligence was going to dominate everything in this technological era. Practically every hardware that is launched on the market is designed in a much more intelligent way, which greatly simplifies the user's tasks, making them much more productive.
If we were to talk about the inclusion of AI in mobile devices, we would probably imagine the launch of the Samsung Galaxy AI. In my opinion it was a great success, because it was launched at the right time, where we are starting to see how to deal with every aspect of our lives where technology can interact.
It seems that when an emerging technology reaches the public and is well received, other companies understand that this is the way to go. Perhaps for this reason Apple found it necessary to power its new devices with native AI, as with iPhone 16 Pro.
Apple Intelligence
In this aspect it is trying to introduce an amazing feature that seems to solve every detail or situation that we encounter on a daily basis. Apple Intelligence could be the competitor of Galaxy AI because of the similarity in its functions. Although we do not like to make any kind of comparison, it is clear that both technologies share similarities that bring them closer to the user to have an experience of the highest level. Or at least, we can know in advance, what things we could imagine that would be possible to do until the launch in selected countries.
AI in all its splendor will come to iPhone 16 Pro through generative models that are not huge as one might imagine, but are adapted to fulfill the necessary functions in a mobile device. In this context, I imagine that this AI is implemented along with the operating system, so it is not required to communicate with external servers to obtain information from the giants known to all.
However, it will be possible to access much larger models through Private Cloud Compute, which guarantees absolute privacy in which even Apple cannot store or share your information. Something that is very important to take into account but we would have to see what it can offer that already differs from other models.
The most striking bet is the possibility of improving the texts we have written. With this new technology incorporated, it will be much easier to create a specific message that has the particularity to adapt to a special situation, such as improving the tone of the message to be sent to our boss and look much more professional.
Another addition that seems to be very nice is the generation of emojis. We only have to write a description and the rest will be done by the intelligence, and with Image Playground we can also create images.
Something that I find surprising is the possibility of finding photographs by telling the AI a description and it will filter the images that are just as you have described them. The same function can be used to find a specific moment in a video, which could be of great help if we don't remember in which video or where we have seen that.
Photographs have also received their AI touch. It will be possible to edit them using this technology, in case we want to retouch them, or for example to remove an object with Clean Up. These images will be tagged by the AI in a sort of being able to recognize images when performing a search.
In another section, we can create a video with a description. For this it will take a series of our images and use them to create and model what we have in mind.
One of the uses that interests me the most is to be able to photograph places or things and to have instant information. At this point, Camera Control allows us to have on-screen options with which we can interact, such as making a reservation at a restaurant or consulting its menu.
Siri is present in this iPhone version! This time not in its usual orb form. In this new version it will occupy the entire screen but will offer a renewed experience, in which it will be able to understand more clearly the user's requests, even having errors making them. Possibly this is the point that we love the most, because we are talking to an assistant that could make us a good company in every section of our mobile.
You can also write to Siri in case you do not want to receive your voice prompts, perhaps because you are in a place where you should not make noise and receive your indications in a much more discreet way. Siri seems to have boosted its abilities as an assistant, now allowing you to do many new actions such as adding a set of photos to a specific album or updating a contact with its new address.
In short, Apple Intelligence could land on the next models natively, which is a great bet both for the brand and for those users who decide to use this technology to accompany them in their daily lives.
