Revenue of €4,190 million grew 15% Y/Y in Q1 (or 15% Y/Y constant currency*
Not much to say apart from the fact that they published good numbers. Growth continue to be impressive.
They had higher costs than expected but still generated stellar margins. They also had more Premium subscribers than expected which is a great sign as tehse users are generating the best ARPU (Average Revenue Per User).
They are venturing more into the creator's world and might even be a threat for Youtube if they keep getting traction.
Premium Subscribers
Our Premium Subscribers grew 12% Y/Y to 268 million, up from 263 million last quarter and 3 million above guidance.
To me, the most important is how many content creators can they attract on their platform and can they morph from a Music/Podcast/Audiobook platform towards a full video platform. Time will tell but I believe they can as their management team has proven it can wins even against the MAG7!

I was waiting for a drop after earnings to add more and it was the right thing to do as it is now worth more than pre-results while it was down 10%+ following the Q1-2025 earnings!
This company is recession proof, I don't think anyone will cancel their subscription even if they are being laid off. Same for Netflix. Very few product gives you great entertainment for that cheap of a price.
