This is not the first time I will touch the topic of Bitcoin ATMs, as I remember some time ago I wrote the following article: The Decline of Bitcoin ATMs - What's Happening? 🤫, but today I have taken the time to investigate again this topic of ATMs, and I am still with the idea that in Venezuela this could happen at some point, get comfortable that here starts today's article, and thank you very much in advance for being here watching my content.
But it is time to update the information a bit, because in recent years, Brazil has shown a remarkable increase in the adoption of cryptocurrencies, and we can see this reflected in the expansion of Bitcoin ATMs in various cities of the country. According to CoinATMRadar data, Brazil is really increasing that amount of ATMs, because if you look at my previous article, you will notice that by that date they had a total of 1041 crypto ATMs, and since then, just a couple of months more and they already have a total of 1308 ATMs, that means it has had an increase of 267 ATMs, that certainly is a very good amount in a short period of time.
Esta no es la primera vez que tocaré el tema de los cajeros de Bitcoin, pues recuero que hace un tiempo escribir el siguiente artículo: The Decline of Bitcoin ATMs - What's Happening? 🤫, pero el día de hoy me he tomado el tiempo para investigar nuevamente este tema de ATMs, y aun sigo con la idea de que en Venezuela pueda pasar esto en algún momento, ponte cómodo que acá inicia el artículo de hoy, y muchas gracias de ante mano por estar acá viendo mi contenido.
Pero ya es momento de actualizar un poco la información, pues en los últimos años, Brasil ha mostrado un notable incremento en la adopción de criptomonedas, y esto lo podemos ver reflejado en la expansión de cajeros automáticos de Bitcoin (ATM) en diversas ciudades del país. Según datos de CoinATMRadar, Brasil de verdad está aumentando esa cantidad de ATMs, pues si te fijas en mi artículo anterior, te darás cuenta de que para esa fecha tenían un total de 1041 cajeros cryptos, y desde ese entonces, solo un par de meses más y ya tienen un total de 1308 ATMs, eso quiere decir ha tenido un aumento de 267 Cajeros, eso sin duda es una muy buena cantidad en un corto periodo de tiempo.

Si hablamos a nivel global, el número de cajeros automáticos de criptomonedas ha experimentado un aumento considerable. CoinATMRadar reporta que existen, 38783 cajeros de criptomonedas en 67 países, operados por 363 empresas y fabricados por 41 productores diferentes.
Compared to other Latin American countries, Brazil is in an intermediate position. Colombia which is the closest country to Venezuela, has a total of 37 ATMs at the moment, so I can say that this kind of advances are coming closer to my country every day, although Brazil has advanced in the adoption of Bitcoin ATMs, it still has room to expand its infrastructure compared to its neighbors.
This is all very good news, as we can see that the acceptance and use of cryptocurrencies in the country is intensifying. These devices facilitate access to digital assets for a natural person, that's the great thing about it all, allowing us users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies in a very easy way.
Personally, I have not yet had the opportunity to use or see a Bitcoin ATM in Venezuela, but I am excited about the idea of such ATMs being implemented in our country. I imagine that, when that happens, at the moment of using the cryptocurrency ATMs, we will have some limits and we will probably have to pay a percentage to the State, since we would be using their machines to work with BTC or other cryptos.
En comparación con otros países de América Latina, Brasil se encuentra en una posición intermedia. Colombia el cual es el país mas cercano a Venezuela, tiene un total de 37 ATMs en este momento, entonces puedo decir que este tipo de avances están llegando cada día más cerca de mi país, aunque Brasil ha avanzado en la adopción de cajeros de Bitcoin, aún tiene margen para expandir su infraestructura en comparación con sus vecinos.
Todo esto son muy buenas noticias, pues podemos ver que la aceptación y uso de las criptomonedas en el país se está intensificando. Estos dispositivos facilitan el acceso a activos digitales para una persona natural, eso es lo genial de todo eso, permitiendo a nosotros los usuarios comprar y vender criptomonedas de una forma muy fácil.
Personalmente, aún no he tenido la oportunidad de utilizar o ver un cajero de Bitcoin en Venezuela, pero me entusiasma la idea de que se implementen este tipo de cajeros en nuestro país. Imagino que, cuando eso suceda, al momento de usar los cajeros de criptomonedas, tendremos algunos límites y probablemente tendremos que pagar un porcentaje al Estado, ya que estaríamos haciendo uso de sus máquinas para trabajar con BTC u otras cryptos.

However, it is essential to consider the regulations and policies that the government could establish around its use, including possible commissions or restrictions, because it is no secret that in Venezuela not everything is working as it should be, and truly as a Venezuelan, sometimes I think we are lagging far behind with the whole crypto issue, but luckily users are taking interest, because if it were for government entities or something like that, we would not have the knowledge of what Cryptocurrencies are.
In the case of Venezuela, the interest in cryptocurrencies has been evident for years. The devaluation of the bolivar and the economic sanctions have led thousands of people to seek refuge in digital assets, and it was at that time when I met sites like HIVE and other similar ones, it was there where I thought of looking for alternatives to the low value of the Venezuelan currency, and that great alternative for me was the Crypto world, and so it is for many today.
I know many will say that platforms like Binance and LocalBitcoins are already used today for everyday transactions, but the implementation of cryptocurrency ATMs could be a game changer.
I envision a scenario where Venezuelans can withdraw Bolivars directly from their wallets or convert small amounts of Bolivars into cryptocurrencies to use for local purchases. However, as I mentioned above, it is likely that the state will impose certain regulations, such as limits on transactions or a percentage commission for each transaction.

La implementación de cajeros automáticos de Bitcoin en Venezuela podría representar un avance significativo en la adopción de criptomonedas, brindando a nosotros como ciudadanos una alternativa más para acceder a estos activos digitales. Sin embargo, es fundamental considerar las regulaciones y políticas que el gobierno podría establecer en torno a su uso, incluyendo posibles comisiones o restricciones, pues para nadie es un secreto que en Venezuela no todo esta funcionando como debería de ser, y de verdad como venezolano, en ocasiones pienso que nos estamos quedando muy atrás con todo el tema crypto, pero por suerte los usuarios están tomando interés propio, ya que de ser por entidades gubernamentales o algo por el estilo, no tendríamos el conocimiento de que son las Cryptomonedas.
En el caso de Venezuela, el interés en las criptomonedas ha sido evidente desde hace años. La devaluación del bolívar y las sanciones económicas han llevado a miles de personas a buscar refugio en activos digitales, y fue en esos momentos en los que yo conocí paginas como HIVE y otras similares, fue allí donde pensé en buscar alternativas al poco valor de la moneda Venezolana, y esa gran alternativa para mi fue el mundo Crypto, y así es para muchos hoy en día.
Se que muchos dirán que ya hoy en día se utilizan plataformas como Binance y LocalBitcoins para transacciones cotidianas, pero la implementación de cajeros automáticos de criptomonedas podría cambiar las reglas del juego.
Imagino un escenario donde los venezolanos puedan retirar bolívares directamente desde sus wallets o convertir pequeñas cantidades de Bolívares en criptomonedas para usarlas en compras locales. Sin embargo, como mencioné anteriormente, es probable que el Estado imponga ciertas regulaciones, como límites en las transacciones o un porcentaje de comisión por cada operación.
A pesar de ello, el impacto positivo sería indiscutible.
