After the great response from people concerning this #newsteemparadigm thingy -ma- giggy, and me joking about the virtue signalers, I thought it would be best to 'lay out my stall', at it were.
My actions to date (redistributing 50% of my trading profits, back to my upvoters, as STATED), now means that I'm not signaling fuck all.
I'm doing, and not just talking about it.
Now that I cannot be a virtue 'signaler', but a virtue 'doer' ('actions' and 'words', my friends...and actions over words), it means that going forwards I can call out any fucker who's a signaler and not a doer.
It's amazingly easy to differentiate the two, if you keep the 'actions and words' thing, in mind.
I have no problem trading the steem earned from upvotes, and splitting any profits 50/50 with the said upvoters and supporters.
I'm NOT doing it for altruistic reasons. Altruism is a bullshit concept that virtue signalers like to cloak around themselves, while - from my own observations - rarely exhibit true altruism.
(and that would be because altruism is total bullshit. Which means that so is the virtue signal).
Take the steem ecosystem as an example.
How many people do we have on here going on - non stop - about 'the community', and 'supporting it?'
But have you ever considered that so many of these vapid virtue signalers never give anything - fuck all - of their own rewards back to the community.
Delegations are not truly giving, so count them out -The recipient has no control over 'the gift' that they were 'given'.
It can be taken away at any time.
A 'gift with strings', is anything but a gift. It's a control mechanism, to some degree or another.
I'm not talking about up votes as a gift, either - that isn't 'theirs' after all.
They are 'community pool rewards'(as we are all constantly reminded of, when receiving down votes).
IF people are all so 'gung-ho' about growing the community, and rewarding the smaller accounts to help them grow, ect, then why aren't these virtue signalling no shows, not simply giving away their rewards they have in their wallets.....to help the community grow?
I think we all know the answer.

'Building a community' is based on cooperation and support (generally coming from the larger members, helping the smaller ones of said community).
Big upvotes are all very nice of course, but it isn't theirs, the thing they are giving.
You can't, philosophically speaking , have it both ways. A commons reward pool and your own property, both at the same time.
Yeah, that doesn't work really, does it?
You can only truly give what is yours, and in this ecosystem of steem - what is yours, is the steem in your wallet.
Now don't get me wrong, private property is property, and what you choose to do with your own property, is entirely up to you - that's the point.
IF THE 'BIG' ACCOUNTS are so concerned about 'growing the community', maybe a good place to start would be to give away their own resources, (steem held in account), to help others grow?
Faux giving (circle jerking voting, auto voting accounts, and all the rest), is part of a political strategy to have influence and grow accounts within the established 'in crowds' that people belong to...and that is most definitely not a ' distributing the wealth' model, not in the slightest.
Imagine how much could be redistributed, by the larger accounts, just by using their 'real steem?'
Actions (in regards to helping others, and using your own property to do it) says a lot more about a person than being 'given' something by people who openly acknowledge that the very thing they're 'giving', is not theirs. (The reward pool).
The argument is that they are redistributing away their part of the reward pool as they see fit (the DPOS system), and yes, there is a valid argument in that perspective. Sort of.
But that argument all feels a bit 'empty' though, doesn't it?
'Code is law' is the answer, and yes it is.

Does the #newsteemparadigm transgress these 'code written by man', laws?
I dunno, but it feels good, what I'm doing....
The code decides the mechanics of the distribution.
It does not decide an individuals actions, and how they use their own resources.
It doesn't prohibit the act of giving away your own property, to help build up smaller accounts, does it?
It may even help to attract new members to join the ecosystem, when people learn of the 'altruistic' actions of bigger accounts.
But altruism is bullshit, like i said.
I'm rewarding others with my own profits from steem, because I can justify trading, to myself.
Making money off money is easy - and at the same time, an utterly soul destroying exercise (for me).
By doing it in this framework of helping others - I can totally justify 'doing the business'.
Not only justify - but enjoy.
Rather than the activity being a soul destroying exercise , it now becomes a soul nourishing activity.
Cool uh? (I'm still taking 50% of the profits, though. lol)
There ain't no altruism involved.
It's actually a selfish act (which is natural and valid, and is the basis of all real communities throughout history).

HOW ABOUT THE BIGGER ACCOUNTS PUTTING YOUR STEEM WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS?
ACTIONS THAT SHOW OTHER PEOPLE ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU REALLY CARE FOR THE STEEM ECOSYSTEM?
.....OR IS ALL THIS TALK OF 'COMMUNITY BUILDING' REALLY NOTHING MORE THAN HOT AIR?

It's easy to help others when the cost is a zero financial risk to yourself, isn't it?
If steem becomes successful as a social platform, a new model, (I'm not thinking tron or anything else), it will be the real community minded people - those who are wiling to go the extra mile unconditionally, that will really profit.
As time goes on, the empty virtue signalers will be left behind, shaking their heads (no fear of brain damage, don't worry), and wondering why so many people have stopped believing in them?
I don't expect to change in behaviors from any big accounts with my rant, or anything - but hey, it's my blog, and I'll rant if I want to.
It might not change the actions of large accounts, but it might just put the virtue signalers under the spotlight a little - and make them shut.... the.... fuck.... up.
It's quite embarrassing to observe, once you see in action (incessantly).
Post after post, month after month.
Not that they would actually see the signaling themselves.
***Virtue Signaling generally comes with a low IQ, and an inflated ego.
And that ego blinds them to any possibility of self awareness.
(Having only one of the qualities needed, I think I'm quite safe from suffering 'VS syndrome'.)
