Ahoy mate! Greetings to my dear friends who enjoy their weekends without letting them go unnoticed, people who like to realize what happens to us on weekends, however simple they may be, happy we are thanks to the writing ideas that Galenkp gives us, because it makes us realize that life is a spiral where everything is related to everything.

Thanks to your question @galenkp, I choose the first option you gave us in this Weekend Engagement | Week 256 because it is ideal for me at this time in my life when I am working to regain my frame.
I consider that I do not have a serious overweight problem, but having had the opportunity to perform with a body type and given that I still do not feel so far from that state, I am very eager to lose weight, but above all things, to regain firmness, strength and energy that can be demonstrated, but not with an enviable figure, but with a physical condition to enjoy life in the adventure of the outdoors at least.
This conviction I have goes beyond a desire, it is already a plan, with several attempts, let's not say failed, each path has left a learning. I have been doing acupuncture treatments, where they have explained to me that I must remove sugar and refined flours from my diet.

With the second point it has been easier because I have already reduced wheat and corn flour to a minimum for a year, sticking to my oldest son's gluten-free diet, which has made me feel much better.
Now, when it comes to sugar, my soul weeps just thinking about it. But I have taken good steps to re-educate myself about it and now feel at ease to answer your question with peace of mind.
My answer on Could you cut out sugar permanently? Is NO.
I would not cut sugar out of my diet, even if by some strange madness I wanted to, because my body needs it. The human body needs sugar, what I have learned is that I must pay attention to the source of this energy requirement, i.e. where it comes from, and the timing of when I consume it is also very important.
I learned this in a challenge or program called Wildfit and whose instructor is Erik Edmeades, which I studied in Mindvalley in one of the first weeks of the 13 weeks that the challenge lasts, among the first things that are indicated to us has to do with the sugar needs of our body and how to adapt to it. If you want to learn more about this, I invite you to visit the Mindvalley page and search for Wildfit so that you are aware of this theory that I share.

Of course, it is important to say that dietary measures are different for some people and others and it is very delicate to give dietary advice, as well as financial hehehe. But I think that even people with diabetes should know very well about their body's need for natural sugars from vegetables.
I also learned that if there is something that steals our energy, although it seems incredible, is sugar, at first it seems that you want to consume it because you are low on energy, but then, when you consume this processed white sugar you have a high that really is not energy, it is something else, like an addiction and then you will feel much more exhausted.

I love to see how today children and young people are aware from their own experience that when they stop eating sugar in sweets and candies and added sugar they have a much better sports performance.
For my part, I have managed to stay away from sugar from sweets and added sugar to a great extent, but I am taking advantage of the sugar that comes from natural sources, which are already contained in food.

Even though I consume sugar naturally, for example the sugar contained in fruits, I don't eat them at any time of the day, I have become accustomed to eating fruits only in the morning on an empty stomach. And when I have a sweet craving in the afternoon, as long as it is not too late, I try to eat some gluten-free cookies that are sweetened with honey, natural paprika or a sweetener such as stevia or monkfruit, but even so, I avoid the latter.
When I see those challenges like: give up sugar in 7 days, 7 days without sugar and others like that, I look at them with much suspicion and care with the awareness of what my body needs, but Erik Edmeades has a challenge of this type in which he will never leave out the sugar from fruits and this gives me much more confidence.
To finish, I want to clarify, to those people who do not consider themselves sweet lovers, but live eating snacks like cheetos and doritos, that they should know that although these are very salty, they also contain high levels of added sugar along with those radioactive agents that give them that color.
Well, I leave it up to each person to decide whether to give up sugar, my contribution is to clarify the type of sugar we should analyze.

And you, who have not written your post on this topic, tell me in the comments about this question that could be very controversial: Could you cut out sugar permanently?
