It's worth noting that when we talk about a hangover, we're referring to the effects that linger in the body after consuming alcohol, due to a celebration or a party. I honestly remember when I was younger, at a New Year's Eve party for the company where I worked, I started drinking rum. Since I wasn't used to drinking this type of beverage, I woke up the next day with severe headaches and an upset stomach.
In our country, they call it a hangover, or "el rato," and to relieve this unpleasant discomfort, it's good to drink plenty of fluids to hydrate. It's also recommended to have chicken soup; this is excellent for recovering from a hangover. Another way to get relief from a hangover is to rest and eat fruit to help you recover and stay hydrated.
I also remember that when I was feeling unwell, a friend recommended I have a beer, and I actually did it once and it cleared up my hangover. Of course, I'd just have one to recover, and that was it.
I'm not a real alcohol drinker these days. I only have a few beers on special occasions. In fact, I had a few beers yesterday because it was my mother's 82nd birthday. The idea is to enjoy spending time with the family, drink in moderation, and have some snacks to have a good time.
I hope you liked it, see you in a next post.
