My Destiny And I
When was the first time you took your destiny into your own hands - What did you do, what made you do so, what was the outcome and would you change anything looking back in hindsight?
These are very serious questions that will also demand serious answers. I have seen @galenkp as a very talented man and most especially here on Hive just because of the kinds of questions related to topics he always brings out. They are those questions related to life experiences. Sometimes, we all have our respective differences in life and also ways to take care of them. The weekend Community is the Community I always look forward to every weekend as I'm always proud of what the creator has been doing.
Ok….Back to business…
Destiny in a real sense is what will happen to you in the future either turning you to what you are not planning or turning you to what you have been having in mind. Everyone on earth has their respective destinies and the way to make it come to reality will be their watchword. Destiny will surely come but sometimes can only be delayed. When your destiny comes, you don't have to reject it, instead, you have to follow the lead and make yourself the best on earth.
When you follow your destiny when it finally comes, you will be the best in that field. Running away from it can never help you.
The first time I took my destiny into my own hands
The fact remains that I was formally having the mind of going for an engineering course in the higher institution which I finally did. During this period, I was objecting to going for any other course except engineering courses. So, my mind went to electrical engineering and indeed I was so happy to choose this course. The reason for going for it was just because of the zeal I had and still have for mathematics. I was and I'm so good at solving mathematical problems. This gave me the upper hand to go for the course of my choice.

I truly went to the Federal polytechnic in Ekiti State where I studied electrical and electronics engineering. I was so good at the power aspect of it. I can connect any forms of wiring given to me and even up till now. I was so good in the fieldwork because we always go for practicals right in the school and on my own, I do go for practice anytime I'm at home.
So, after the polytechnic, I found out that the tide was changing in a different direction just because I could not get a job and even could not work on my own, so I decided to go for an educational course in the university after tasting the teaching line.
While in the class teaching, I was perfect and comfortable. This made me change my dream course to the one on which my destiny lies. I went to the Ekiti State University in Nigeria here where I studied Mathematics Education but this time around was part-time. I was studying while working to make ends meet.
So, this is my destiny and what I could do best to achieve success in life. I later became a great mathematics teacher in the surrounding area where I lived. Everyone now knows me as the best mathematics teacher and at one time I included physics in my teaching.
Indeed, I am also doing great in it as it is rare to get physics teachers in my area. So, I'm always the first to be called on anytime they need a physics teacher and most of the time, they call me for part-time teaching since I'm teaching in a private school already.
So, the outcomes of my destiny were great and are the best I can think of as I'm making it with this my destiny. This means my destiny is to be a teacher who can be able to pass mathematical knowledge to the students and the general populace. This is what I'm good at and nothing can change it.
Looking back in hindsight, I don't think I can change my destiny as this is my path and what I was made for. The fact remains that what you are good at is what will give you great rewards in life. This may be your call. So, your destiny is your life and your life is your destiny….
