― Stephen King, The Dark Tower
Hi all, Hivers! The weekend is almost over, but I'm still on time to join this week's Weekend-Engagement (WE90) about habits and quirks.
You're strange. Name and explain some of your personality quirks, strange habits, or oddities
I always smell my clothes before putting them on. I can be a bit of a maniac when it comes to smells. And one that I can't stand is the smell of dampness in the clothing.
The first thing I do when I get home is take off my shoes. I love walking barefoot, but I never walk barefoot in the kitchen.
House chores are not my favorite thing to do. I do them because they have to be done. But when I'm at home, and there's a problem I have to solve and I haven't found the solution yet. I take the broom and start sweeping. Also when something in the house bothers me, I usually take the broom and sweep.

Acquired habit - Assume you could acquire a single habit overnight, what would it be and why would you like to have it.
- I would like to get into the habit, to take short naps. I've never been one of those people who can take a 10-minute nap and feel rested. If I fall asleep during the day I wake up more tired and I find it hard to wake up. So I just don't take naps.
Someone else's. What quirky, unusual, odd, or strange habit have you noticed or observed in someone else. Which I don't like and get on my nerves.
My 17 years old son takes apart any pen that falls into his hands. In fact, anything that can be disarmed and falls into his hands is a perfect target. He does it almost unconsciously while watching TV, when he is concentrating on a task, or even when he is sitting relaxed chatting with someone else. And it wouldn't be much of a problem if he could always put them back together again. But in the case of pens, they end up always broken so it gets on my nerves, and I have to have a couple of pens hidden in case I need one.
I also get annoyed by the sound of people scratching their throats. My sister has this habit. She does it especially when she is nervous or worried about something. And I remember when we were young and living at my parents' house it was something that got on my nerves all the time.
I don't like it either when people make noise with their mouths while they eat. But most of all, I can't stand it when someone slurps the soup and makes noises. And people talking with their mouths full, it's something I can't stand, and it makes me want to get up from the table.
I don't like when people chew ice. My husband does it often. Although lately, after the dentist's advice he is trying not to do it.
If you could cast a spell and instantly bestow an odd, quirky, weird, or strange habit upon someone (other than yourself) who would it be.
- I would cast a spell on my son to give him the odd, quirky, weird, or strange habit for a teenager of not making a space of less than 5 square meters look like a jungle, aka his room.

Have you removed a habit, strange personality quirk, or oddity over the years?
- I loved to set my alarm clock a little earlier than I was supposed to wake up and postpone and sleep a little longer. I stopped doing it because it got on my husband's nerves. After all, he would wake up and not be able to continue sleeping while I did keep sleeping. It was a habit I had from the student years that I liked the feeling of looking at the clock and knowing that I could still sleep a little longer.
- I used to practice in front of the mirror when I had to give a presentation or speak in public. And I don't know if it's true but my mother always said that when I was little, I used to practice in front of the mirror how to cry.

This is all for now, thanks for reading!
