There are five-weekend concepts to choose from this week, and I chose the fourth one on the list, which is the Sunday feels at the end of the weekend and states the following question,
Sunday means the next day is a work day for most. How do you feel knowing the weekend is almost over and how do you plan ahead for a great working week? Write a post of at least 300 words.
Although weekends are very short, it was almost impossible to enjoy them in such a short amount of time. But it doesn't mean it won't be worth it if you just spend it on the things that make you happy. I often look forward to the weekends, not because I don't have classes, but because that is when my family and I have a full breakfast-to-dinner meal together. So, we rarely have time to sit at the table and eat a meal together during the week. It's quite sad, yet it's better than having nothing on the table.
I will not be a hypocrite and say I'm not looking forward to weekends because, as a student, it's one of the most glorious days of our lives. We can have fun and go out with friends and cousins. Treat yourself to a bike ride in the park, eat dirty ice cream, and feast on the beautiful scenery that can be found there. I most likely go out a lot nowadays on weekends because I feel suffocated during the week due to the abundance of activities and projects thrown at us.
Usually, Mondays are the most hateful day in the whole week because it means going back to school or work. Well, I used to hate it. However, if you have a productive mindset, you know exactly how important Mondays are. As for me, it sets the standard for how and what I will do for the rest of the week. Basically, when my Monday is not productive enough, I tend to procrastinate on consecutive days. It's not helpful and advisable to do that, so I make sure my Monday is the very best so I know and feel energized to work on whatever tasks come in.
Actually, planning what to do for the whole week is not effective for me because we have a fixed schedule at the university. Yet I don't know what my professors will think and assign to us, so it's better to create a space in your mind that says, "Okay, I will make sure that this day will be productive, and I will finish the task to the best of my ability." It is because I want to lie down on my bed and proudly tell myself that I have done well today since I did accomplish something. Isn't it satisfying before you sleep?
Aside from that, when you learn to be grateful for your job, you still have a job that sustains all your needs and those of your family. You will just think, "Oh! I'm very blessed that I still have a job, and it's a way to support my family." As a student, receiving a scholarship makes me feel guilty sometimes when I feel lazy. I think that the sponsors or the organization behind the scholarship don't deserve them. But I still make it and prove that I'm worth it.
I believe that at the end of the day, what matters most before you pass out on your bed is knowing that you did your job well. It doesn't matter whether others are happy or dissatisfied with what you have done. Because your inner peace of mind is the most important, yes, there are terrible days, and we cannot avoid them. But don't let those bad days define who you really are or how capable you are of leading yourself to greatness.
