Australian Football is back and my favourite team is in town so i went along to support the boys. I cheer for the Geelong Cats but live in a different city, so dont get to see them too often.
We arrived just before sumaet which made seeing the plauing field difficult since we had east facing seats. Often there are a few clouds arounnd that pic up the last few rays if the sun and create a spectacular sunset.
My team got off to a good start and held a small lead at half time. During the halftime break mini football fields takeover the main field and kids get to play on the big stage infront if huge crowds.
The third of four quarters got under way and the home team really lifted. They took the lead momentarily before the Geelong Cats(blue and white) scored some more goals.
We ended up winning the match much to the disappointment of the majority of the 44000* fans.
This particular team’s supporters are notorious for leaving early if they arent winning and tonight was no different.
This is me happy our team got the win.
Despite many leaving early and me and my dad having to make our way down from the top tier of the stadium, there were still a lot of supporters trying to make their way home. Since Adelaide has a river running past it and the football stadium is on the opposite side if the river to the city, a bridge was built to allow all the fans to walk over to the football.
Im on the train ride home now - hope your start to the weekend is as good as mine.
