Before I start this article, I want to greet everyone a Happy Sunday! And also Happy Fathers day to all the Fathers in the world out there.
Today I will join a writing prompt here in Hive that I read last day. There are many choices to choose from and because of that I had a hard time choosing my topic but I ended up with this choice because I needed to post a picture from my own. And the topic I chose is Children (two) and the question is If you have no children – Do you want them and why?
So here it is, let's start.
Ever since I was young, I dreamed of having many children. I know the sadness of a child without a sibling/siblings. Well, I have my sister and our relationship is good,I am also contented with the number of sibling I have but there are times when I'm really looking for more siblings to make me happier. That's why I told myself then that if I ever had a family of my own I wanted many children.
Times goes by, I am having a broad mind and I am seeing the reality of life, I thought that having children, raising children and taking care of them is not that easy. Sometimes I wonder if I still want to fulfill what I wanted before. But my answer to the question earlier, if I want to have children, my answer is yes.
Even though I have become aware of the fact that not everything in the world is easy I still want to have a child. My child that when I grow old, he/she will accompany me. I think that is the main reason why we love having children. For our old age, there will be someone who will take care of us and look after us. Well having a child is one of the happiest events in a humans life but at the same time it is also the most difficult experience you will go through. How did I say it?
I saw the hardships of my sister from when she was pregnant, when she gave birth, and now she is taking care of and raising her child. My sister is a single mother, that's why it's twice as hard for her. We all felt bad for the child's father or my nephew's father because when he found out that my sister was pregnant, he left and didn't show any signs until he didn't come back. But there's nothing we can do if that's what he wants, as long as I know he'll regret abandoning his obligation to his son.
Let's go back to the conversation earlier, I witnessed all the hardships my sister suffered but despite that, I still wanted to have my own child.
My nephew is less than a year old, he still needs to be taken care of or he still needs enough care at the moment but he brings so much joy to all of us. He is our cheerleader here at home. Even though he has not been able to speak properly or well, the moment he utters any sound and word, we are overjoyed. In everything he does, he also makes us happy.
Every time I come home from school and I'm tired, he becomes my stress reliever. A smile from him erase all my tiredness.
That's why that's one of the reasons why I want to have a child, so that someone will make me happy when I'm sad. Someone will make me feel important. Someone will always call me because they need me. And most of all someone will love me for the rest of my life.
