Hello friends, today I want to tell you about a wonderful weekend experience that my friend and I organized in Bulgaria, Stara Planina, along the villages of Stara Planina. We decided to travel around uncrowded and without organization, but for the first time we were so happy to have absolutely no plan. Because everything was a rather surprising decision, but memorable forever.
In the photos and you will see beautiful ancient buildings that were filmed in the ancient village named Bozhentsi which is an archaeological village
The experience was organized at the last minute, so we decided to improvise by booking a house at our grandparents' in an unknown village in the foothills of the Stara Planina Mountains, where it was quite uninhabited by people and slightly abandoned, which initially scared me and I didn't want to stay long, but the hosts were extremely kind and reminded me of my grandparents and how they didn't welcome us at the same time when we were children with mekitsi and warm milk for breakfast. Here is the first photo in the morning. When we wake up, everyone sings and we drink warm milk and coffee and eat delicious mekitsi for breakfast.
I'm still sleepy and unprepared for photos, but still with a smile on my face because I'm extremely happy when I'm in nature. After we had our coffee, we got our luggage and set off on a journey to this beautiful village of Bozhentsi, after which I will show you pictures of the beautiful architectural houses that were built in the last century by old Bulgarians who built these houses with their own hands and a lot of stones, which are called something like an Archaeological Museum in the village.
Here we arrive and the wonderful warm walk between the Little Houses begins. I want to tell you that I have dreamed since I was a child to someday have such a house in the mountains, forged from wood and stone, because in my opinion these are the most beautiful houses that are made entirely by hand with heart and soul by the people who are from here in Bulgaria. Have you ever seen a house that was built by hand with only hands and mud?
Against the backdrop of the beautiful cobblestone streets, as you can see, there are also beautiful pine and deciduous trees from small to large plants that contribute greatly to the charm of this beautiful village called Bozhentsi.
The interesting thing is that the houses are not lived in, they are just built so that people can admire them when they come here on a trip. Tourists come here from all over Europe.
The village is extremely small and modest. There are maybe about 20-30 houses, but still its residents, who are the people you are talking about, built these houses and have opened small shops where they sell handmade souvenirs that are made specifically from the natural things that the mountains around us have given us, such as sheep's wool or wooden boards that are forged from oak.
There are also cute little signs that are hand-forged to guide you where to go because we were extremely hungry and were looking for a restaurant somewhere where we could eat traditional Bulgarian dishes, one of which is beans in soup with sausage. I don't know if you've tried it, but someday if you come to Bulgaria, order a Bobi stew with sausage and a flatbread. I tell you, you will be extremely delighted with the taste that you will try. Here I am, already satisfied and happy, as you can see in front of me a large plate with a huge loaf of bread, handmade of course by the grandmothers in this village who know absolutely and exactly how to knead bread. Have you ever kneaded bread? And look at my wide smile, how happy I am.
Here is my friend who is extremely hungry and grumpy, but the moment he saw the beans, as you can see, his smile lit up and he was the happiest man on earth.

After we ate, we decided to explore the village a little more and were amazed by everything we saw, simply extraordinary architecture that one can only imagine being made entirely with two hands. In the picture you will also see the stall I was talking about, they sell all kinds of handmade things there.
Someday I promised myself that after I bought a house I would build a well like this. These wells were once used by people to get water. Because there were no fountains, it was the most convenient way for a person to live well by getting water to live with. Entrance from the well.
in the village of Bozhentsi It is also known for its yogurt in Bulgaria We are known for preparing neutralizing national Bulgarian products such as yogurt, cheese and yellow cheese, kachamaki, I don't know if you've ever tried it, but we raise special sheep and cows with which we make milk from them We create absolutely all kinds of products and one of the most famous yogurts in Bulgaria is Bozhentsi yogurt If you meet someone somewhere in the stores, take it, I think you will like it
I am extremely impressed with these walls, especially those made of stones, because I am an artist and I have set myself the task of one day drawing a house with such a wall, which is completely surrounded by mud, stones and plants. You can see how beautiful it is when a person creates a house from nature and its resources.
This was our wonderful experience in a small Bulgarian beautiful village in the Stara Planina mountain range which is located in Bulgaria. I am Yanisa. We are extremely pleased to tell you about this experience. I hope that one day you will visit Bulgaria and enjoy the nature and architecture that we Bulgarians have. I wish you a successful day and may we always live beautifully and peacefully with everything we experience, whether during the weekend or at any other time. The important thing is to enjoy the moment and always be grateful for what we can see, taste and feel because Life is wonderful.
