I am not the type to celebrate my birthday, but this year, I wanted it to be different. I wanted this year's birthday to be my best and most memorable birthday, so far!
So ever since December last year, I already started hyping myself up. I began planning how I'll celebrate and consciously telling myself, "this birthday is going to be sooo muuuchhh fuuun!"
And indeed, it was. My final plan was to go on a solo trip to two local places!
My celebration was not so grand, but it was so me. hihi
First stop: Baguio!
Baguio is one of my favorite places in the Philippines. Aside from the cold weather, it is rich with culture, art, and nature!
This wasn't my first time to visit Baguio, so I was already kind of familiar with some common places. I also wanted this to be a chill and slow trip, so I only had a few things in my "list."
One of my main goals was to do a forest trail in Camp John Hay! So after dropping off my stuff in my accommodation, I headed there right away!
There was a very small portion in me that was kind of worried I would be lost in the middle of the trail, but I barely felt it because my excitement and happiness was overflowing.

The forest was magical and indescribably beautiful, that there was a moment when I found myself literally tearing up. My heart just couldn't contain how grateful I was to be there, and be able to witness nature's beauty firsthand.
It was a core memory, indeed.
After finishing the trail, I stayed in one of the benches in Camp John Hay and spent time painting with watercolor.

I also walked around the area -- in awe with whatever my eyes land on. haha
It was indeed one of the best few hours of my life!
If ever you get to visit Baguio, Philippines, I highly recommend you try the forest trail as well!
Stay sane and safe!
Let's spread happiness.
