I totally agree with you in this aspect @galenkp.
There is a sports community in which I write with a certain regularity and make quite extensive comments explaining my point of view, either by answering comments on my blog or by commenting on other users' blogs.
At first I thought that comments that were too long could be misinterpreted but then I realized that this was not the case.
Besides, I follow a particular rule: I try to answer all the comments of the last seven days, but many times I can't go further back due to time constraints. It is true what you say to analyze a tide of comments such as "Congratulations", "Great", "Excellent", or those who simply put an emoji I don't think it serves to value the content of the post.
