Euthanasia
If there’s a topic I really like to talk about, it is euthanasia.
I don’t know what you mean about no preparation, but I have to say that I read about, and if it wasn’t that way, I could also think about the personal reasons that can lead to a good argument on the topic.
No matter if it is used to put animals to sleep or if there’s a person who needs it, I will always be in favor about performing euthanasia in extreme cases.
I can’t imagine having a pet suffering from a terminal illness, or get hit by a car and keep it there, in pain, knowing that it will never recover, that soon it will pass away. To my personal thinking, that’s not possible, I would rather put it to sleep, end with his suffering and give it rest.

Now, we get to the main point of this topic: euthanasia for people. I know many of you will disagree. Some may say: but who are you to do God’s work? And my answer will be the same: I don’t believe in God. I believe in science, and pain.
Pain is a gut-wrenching feeling. Imagining a person with terminal cancer, or ALS, is heart-breaking. Dementia is also horrible. How can we live with ourselves knowing a relative being in one of those conditions? Or worst, with a relative who’s begging for someone to end their pain. When my best friend’s grandma died three months ago, in her last hours, she told them to let her go. She was in a lot of pain, but the thing she was worried about was to be a burden to her family.

I know this is a controversial topic, and some religious people will not see reason in my thinking, but I think it is honorable to let people know what you want when the occasion needs it. In this case, if these people really want a peaceful death.
