As I’ve shared in my past blogs, yoga has been a growing part of my lifestyle these days. I’ve been practicing regularly at my gym, but my personal goal is to really improve my asanas and deepen my poses. With that in mind, I decided to take a step further and try a legit yoga studio for the first time. Last weekend, I went to Dawata Wellness Yoga Studio—and I must say, the experience was truly refreshing.
From the moment I stepped in, the vibe instantly transported me to a tropical island getaway. The warm, earthy tones of the interior, the gentle aroma of essential oils, and the sound of nature-inspired music created such a calming ambiance. It didn’t feel like just another workout session—it felt like a retreat.
Before starting the practice, the instructor asked each of us to prepare our props: two yoga blocks and a strap. I appreciated this detail because it made me realize how important proper tools are in helping us achieve better alignment and deeper stretches. For someone like me who’s still in the process of refining my asanas, the blocks and strap were lifesavers. They supported my body in poses that I usually struggle with and gave me the confidence to try deeper variations without the fear of straining.
The session itself was a beautiful balance of strength and relaxation. We were guided through a series of poses that challenged both my flexibility and focus. At times, I caught myself wobbling or shaking, but instead of frustration, I felt encouraged to breathe through the discomfort and stay present in the moment.
By the end of the class, lying in savasana, I felt completely renewed—physically lighter and mentally calmer. My visit to Dawata Wellness wasn’t just about improving yoga poses; it was also about grounding myself and reconnecting with the reason I fell in love with yoga in the first place. I left the studio already looking forward to my next session, excited to continue this journey toward strength, balance, and mindfulness.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
