Hello everyone, I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for the new work week. I can't say I'm ready and I'll be happy to forget for a moment that tomorrow is Monday and go back in time thanks to this weekend's topic for #weekend-engagement - Weekend Collection. π
When I read the topics, I was most inspired by the Weekend Collection topic because I immediately had an idea of ββwhat I was going to write about. I have a lot of collections but my favorite is the shell collection.
I started collecting shells when I was a teenager and they remind me of a beautiful and carefree time when I still went on summer vacations with my parents and sister. We spent every summer in Greece, on the shores of the Aegean Sea. I loved those days when I walked on the sand in the shallow water and collected shells. Those were relaxing moments that made me happy.
Shells are happiness for me. I was happy when I saw them sticking out of the sand and when I pulled them out and was delighted with their shape and color.
Although I didn't know what stress was then, collecting seashells was an excellent anti-stress therapy when you let your thoughts wander and you feel peace while listening to the waves and inhaling the smell of the sea.
I keep my box of shells at my mom's house and today I asked my sister to take a photos of them.
When I open that box, I open my memories. I love the sea and shells make me feel close to the sea every time I want it.
I used shells to make decorations and decorate pots with flowers.
I plan to make some more creative things when there is enough time. Until then, I keep my treasure and memories of happy days spent with my loved ones.
This is my entry for #weekend-engagement by @galenkp. Thank you @galenkp for the inspiration, as always. π
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.
Greetings!
