Normally, Weekend is my best time of the week. No early morning rush. It is just me, my bed and some small activities.
Once it's weekend, the first thing I do is sleep very well. I sleep like someone that was running all week. I sleep like I’m trying to win an award. Normally during the week, I always wake up early, sometimes even before my alarm rings. But on weekend? Nothing like alarm, I turn it off. No rushing. I just sleep and enjoy the comfort of my bed. I turn left, I turn right, sleep with legs wide open. I wake up when my body says, dude, that’s enough, wake up.
After I finally wake up and stretch my body like a lazy cat, I'll take some few exercise, go for a jogging and do some push ups. I don’t have time to do exercise during the week because work and stress doesn't allow me rest. But on weekend, I'll try a little and go outside and jog small. Not too fast o, just little jogging to keep the body fit.
After the small workout, sweat cover the body. So straight to the bathroom I go. I take a cool shower and wash off the sweat. The water touches my body and I feel fresh like new bread from the oven. I'll just stand there, enjoying the water like I’m in one big hotel since there's no work, I have all time for myself.
Now it’s time to eat. I don’t usually make breakfast during the week because I’m always rushing to go out. But weekend? I become my own chef. I enter the kitchen and bring out my ingredients to do my dishes. Then I sit down and enjoy it without anyone rushing me. Even if I lick the plate, no one to judge me?
After that food, body becomes soft. What next? Movie time! I sit down, take the remote and start watching movies. I watch action, romance and horror movies.
Then sleep again. This one is not long sleep just short nap. Though I still sleep long, is my free day. When I wake up, I stretch again, carry my laptop and press it small. I do one or two things, or just look busy even though I’m not doing much on it during weekends.
Later in the evening, I like to take a walk. I walk around my street, enjoying the cool breeze, and maybe stop by my friend’s house @emmy20. We gist and just enjoy the evening. From there, we move to our usual food point.
That place is something else. The food is always sweet sometimes more than home food. Maybe it’s because we’re eating outside or maybe because we’re hungry but that food always hits different.
When I get back home, I lie on my bed again, bring out my phone and start scrolling. I check social media to see what’s trending.
After all that phone pressing, sleep starts calling me again. I drop the phone, close my eyes, and boom I’m gone till morning.
That’s how my ideal weekend looks like. Full of sleep, small exercise, sweet food, movies, walk, hanging out with friends, and enjoying life. No pressure, no stress, just peace and enjoyment.
