I invite you to participate in the proposals made by @galenkp. Weekend-Engagement writing topics: WEEK 159. I'm sure you will identify with one of the topics. I particularly did with two topics.
The topic of board games made me travel to the past, specifically to my childhood when I was only 9 years old, I'm talking about 1983, because at that age I met my favorite board game, the world-famous Monopoly.
To begin I must mention how I met my favorite board game, next to my house, my neighbors who were also contemporary with my age, the father of my friends bought them the board game Monopoly, as we were very close friends, they invited me to play, while the father of my friends, read the rules and explained how we had to play, the part that I liked most was to be the bank, for some reason that I can not explain, many years later I ended up working in the financial tower of the provincial bank, but that's another story.
Currently, I have two beautiful daughters, since they were very young I bought them board games according to their age, but I always wanted to teach them how to play monopoly, so when they were old enough to explain how to play monopoly, I simply did it, the best of all is that they both liked that board game very much, somehow I transmitted them my passion for that game.
I can comment and say that once a month, it is almost always one Saturday a month, which coincides with this weekend, for this reason I am sure that this coming Saturday my daughters and I will be playing my favorite board game and one of my daughters' favorite board games, however I must mention that they also like to play Scrabble, I also share that taste.
I reaffirm that playing monopoly since I was a child taught me something that is not taught in schools, is how a market economy works, I learned to handle money from that age, and that is good for any child, to learn how money works, with that game in spite of everything it helps you learn to control money, how to earn it, how to borrow money from the bank, how to collateralize your assets, how to get them back, if you don't manage money well you can go bankrupt, just to mention some things you learn implicitly that are there in that game, but that are also there in real life when you are an adult.
Furthermore, I repeat it is only my opinion based on my experience with that board game that even at my age I still like, because it is always very dynamic especially when you are playing it in a new game, the best of all is that I can play with my daughters, while I can teach them how they can control their money.
Playing is also a way to learn.
Just dedicate yourself to be happy in every second. To be happy you just have to make your own decision.
