Hello and good morning beautiful community of Weekend Experiences; Today I would like to share with you about a pleasant evening that I was able to share with my new coworkers to celebrate the end of the 2023 year.
I recently joined the Institute of Tropical Geography; This center is the National Cartographic Agency of Cuba. Its main mission is to carry out and coordinate research in geography and to support government environmental management actions.
I had really wanted to belong to such an important institution for many years and a few months ago I was given the pleasant opportunity to join a huge team of professionals who put their knowledge at the service of Cuban science with an even international reach.
The evening took place on Friday, December 16, 2023 at the emblematic Comodoro Hotel, specifically in the beach area. Although the weather was deteriorating due to the presence of a hydrometeorological phenomenon which would affect the west of the island, over the weekend we were able to spend a pleasant time with the researchers working at the site and its main managers.
There is no lack of music; the dance, the moments of socialization and exchange between two generations of scientific history, so for me it was very comforting that they had taken me into account from the first day without even having directly started working.
And although the weather had deteriorated during the course of the morning I dedicated myself to taking some snapshots of the beach area which I would like to show you below.
