Greetings!!!
Oh yeah, I finally took part in the weekend community's weekly prompt. To be honest, I've been wanting to do so for a long time but something always seems to divert my attention away from it, so I told myself that this was the weekend to make a big change. I was able to go over the topics and for real, I’d say accidental good time will make the perfect essay for me.
Accidental good time:
Post about a situation in which you had an accidental good time. I'm talking about activities or events you thought would be terrible but turned out to be great. A conference, wedding, party, work, family event, or anything at all. Explain why you thought it would be rubbish and what made it ultimately enjoyable. Bonus points for using your own photos.
It all happened during my second year of university, 15 years ago. During those early years of my life, I was quiet and reserved, rarely showing an interest in the things that others find interesting, but on this fateful day, things changed and I discovered a new self that had been hidden all along.
So, on this particular day, a colleague of mine invited me to a party for a friend's birthday. I initially declined because I assumed it would be another one of those boring birthday parties I'd attended. Accepted to attend after much contemplation. The celebration was supposed to take place at one of the town's most popular hotels, known as All Seasons
As anticipated, the party began in the same manner, and I was bored all day by their actions. What the celebrant had in mind next was something I couldn't predict. As the night progressed, she said that no one should go home yet because the party was about to begin, and then she exclaimed, "It's Friday, so let's go clubbing!" At that point, I realized I was on the path of a new experience because it would be my first time in a nightclub.
My First-day experience in Night Club
And so it began; Fridays are when everything happens, and we were fortunate enough to get invited on that particular day. The hotel in question is home to one of the city's largest nightclubs. We were a group of about 23 people, with a mix of men and women. However, we had to keep ourselves occupied with other activities till the event started about 12 a.m. Nightclub is, without a doubt, a lovely spot to have fun, socialize, and party at night, offering a taste of nightlife with cocktails, DJs, music, and other entertaining performances.
After drinking cocktails and receiving a terrific lap dance on the couch, the place created an illusion happiness. To be honest, I wasn't interested in dancing because I had the impression that I was terrible at it. Something unusual happened that day; I was persuaded by a lady to dance with her, and dancing with her made me realize I wasn't so bad at it. Hey, it's not the most interesting part; aside from the fun, that night offered me a female who mattered in my life. Despite the fact that she was really crazy at the party, I found a hidden treasure in her thereafter, and we went out for around three years before life happened. I realized that day that life wasn't boring at all, I was just the boring one.
Let's forget about me and her story for a while and return to that night. That night and one other is my only night clubbing experience ever. Although I had the time of my life on the first night, I believe it was because I was surrounded by so many pals. There were so many crazy things that happened, things that younger folks do, and there was no need to pass judgment. The finest part of the evening was when we played a game of truth or dare. I won't go into detail since certain things are better left unsaid.
The one thing that mattered is the fact that I got a fun-filled adventure and explored a side I never knew existed in me. Even though I enjoyed my first ever nightclub, one simple truth is I have come to realize that I'm not a night club person. The last time I tried it, I slept off and got the friends that brought me there pissed coupled with the fact that I don't like being sucked in alcohol.
Conclusion
It's not uncommon for us to make assumptions about how things will turn out based on one or two previous experiences. There's always the possibility of a surprising twist, such as the one I got that day. I wouldn't have had such unforgettable fun in my life or met one of the most significant people in my life today if I hadn't gone to the party. I hope my narrative didn't boring you too much.
