My weekends mostly go unplanned; sometimes, I am doing something exciting, and sometimes, it's just another boring weekend doing nothing. This year, I have had very few enjoyable weekends; maybe life has been more hectic for me. Well, whatever it is, 2023 is almost gone, and 2024 is knocking at the door, so let's have a plan for some changes to make the upcoming one successful and more enjoyable.
Explore my own place
From now on, I plan to explore the places around me. Yeah, there are many more hidden gems that are yet neglected but could be great places for some weekend hangouts. Some may need planning, and some may just need the mindset to jump and rock. I know that these tiny places could offer some amazing moments, too; I have had a few this year, so from that experience, I would plan more of them.
Like-minded people
I have been on the way to becoming an introvert, slowly but steadily. Obviously, it's happening without my consent due to the situations I can't really avoid. I don't mind the changes, as I can just always step out of it whenever I want. I wanna be around people who prefer outings more and more; how? I got my people. Last weekend, I spent my time with a person who is just a travel freak. Guess what? Someone who was never comfortable with bus journeys; would get sick for sure, hated bus journeys at any cost, and had agreed to go for a four-hour bus journey just for the sake of having a quality weekend. To my surprise, that person had completed the journey in both ways without falling sick for a moment; it's just the mindset and a little bit of medication. The mindset was that no matter what the obstacles were, I would go for it, and that person did that successfully.
Money management
Money plays a crucial role in going on a trip, whether it's a tiny one or some huge plan. I am an overspender. Yeah, I am very bad at money management. I might be spending 10 USD throughout the whole month and end up spending 100 USD within a week. So, the habit of proper planning and not spending more than I need should be mastered; otherwise, one weekend of mine would eat the opportunity to have a few more.
Friends, Family, and my loved ones have always been the people I love to spend my weekends with. Sometimes, I do plan to travel with random tour groups that organize tours with strangers from different places. Isn't that exciting? I have had this on my bucket list for a long time, but not sure when I will get the chance to ditch my friends and Family and go solo, lol. They are equally excited for such weekends to spend some quality time out of their daily routines, always ready to go and that's why I don't feel like going solo, that's an option to explore someday.
So yeah, 2023 is almost gone; it was a year of some unexpected massive changes, yet an enjoyable one. Let's hope for the best in 2024.
Best of luck,
Take care.
