Hello Hive.

Simple as it sounds its good to read and mind you a good understanding of everything you read is important as well.
But why do people read?(Wishing I can get some personal answers on the very one regarding why people read, books, articles newspaper, or whatever it may be).

For me, growing up with an illiterate parent I was taught reading as something important but just a way to acquire knowledge that will henceforth lead you go get a good job. It was s just for the financial stability in the long run, you need to acquire some knowledge and that can only be done via reading books.

This can go beyond that I guess.
Reading can bring the whole world to the palm of your hands wherever you are.

Thanks to quality writers who gives a perfect picture of everything through writing. They let your imaginations go wild and take you to places you have never been through their words.

In the past, I have read alot of Irish novels and I can tell of their love for horses, the kind of houses they build right in the middle of a green farmland and their stables.
Its something I got addicted to, reading one novel after another as their lifestyle seem fascinating to me, thanks go Nora Robert for all those books.

The conclusion of the matter is this, reading is a hobby I want to acquire and retain even though I was an ardent reader before, but series of life transformation and major setbacks took that away from me.

Earlier this year, I fought hard to revive this I got some books from friends just few months ago and I can believe am still lingering with this book of only a hundred and forty four pages for almost two months now 😔😔.

Am still fighting hard to acquire a space in my daily routine to chip in reading but am too full of distraction. Hopefully I will overcome.

Reading can enlighten you more about different people, culture and places without having to travel and I guess its because if lazy folks like us they most of this novels have now been acted into movies that wouldn't take much of your time to watch and assimilate.
