Greetings friends of Weekend Experiences. I hope you have had a good week, as well as I hope you have enough time and disposition to participate in this contest.
Today I decide to join this proposal and I will do it talking about the time and some of my good practices that I have had and have generated good results.
Keeping order is definitely a way to save time. If I'm going to wear accessories that match my clothes, it helps me to keep my earrings, necklaces, bracelets sorted and in their place. That way I'll quickly define which accessory to wear and won't waste time searching.
Another example: if I'm going to cook, I make sure I have all the ingredients on hand to speed up the dressing and preparation process.
I am more punctual than a Swiss watch
Being punctual does not mean that I have enough time to do everything in one day. Punctual people have only 24 hours in a day just like the unpunctual ones.
The advantage of being punctual is that I have the habit of managing my time in order to meet certain objectives and one of them is to fulfill my planning.
This sculpture was made by a friend's mother, inspired by time. She personified him with many clocks, a broken face and on top of a big clock. His attire such as the jacket and pants are of an old-fashioned style. She told me that every detail symbolizes that time is passing and you have to know how to take advantage of it.
I share 3 of my techniques with you below
Self-regulate
Yes, let me sleep. I need to be well rested and with my batteries recharged to be able to perform in my time, to be less scattered and to be more alert. I sleep between 7 and 8 hours. In the afternoons if possible, that is, if the work commitment does not prevail, I like to take a nap. After it I am super active.
I write and prioritize
I became a fan of diaries at a time when I decided to have different results.
I improved my technique over time, because at the beginning I wrote down everything I had to do.
I make one agenda per week, considering that everything can change. Every day, at the beginning of the day, I set a tentative time for each activity.
The long and endless lists made me feel frustrated at the end of the day, because I realized that I was prioritizing and spending more time on tasks that were not relevant.
I also take into account prioritizing the activities that depend on me, for example writing a post for HIVE.
The ones that depend on other people, such as a work meeting, are still on the list, but I focus on the ones I can do alone.
In addition to writing down the activity, I display all the other tasks I need to accomplish to meet the goal. This way I keep the vision in all the periphery.
For example: Uploading a post on Hive involves several tasks:
Daily feed my personal image bank.
Predefine at the beginning of the week an agenda of possible communities and posts to be made.
Daily feeding the draf with possible contents and photos.
In my daily schedule I underline in color the time I spend focusing on creating, instructing or learning something related to what I do. At least 2 hours a day for these activities are a priority for me. I have created this habit and it makes me feel at the end of the day that I didn't waste my time.
At the end of the day, I look at the agenda and check what is pending and if necessary I reschedule it for the next day. This type of self-checking has helped me to continue prioritizing and making better use of my time.
Meditation and Programminge
Daily meditation is a must for me and has a powerful influence on how efficiently I use my time. It helps me to get out of bed with a pretty clear idea of how I want my day to turn out.
When I talk about meditating I am referring to a space of time with myself, my spirituality, my mind and my body. I usually do it in the morning.
Thank you for joining me, thank you for your time.
