My child's life is full of exploration. I'm making sure she can experience this as this is beneficial to her growth. This is of course with the presence and supervision of myself. I have given her a chance to observe and enjoy the different settings in the environment. It could be a walk amid the woods, a coastal stroll, or an extra-curricular activity in school where she can cherish the moment and will have all the means to investigate which is substantial in having a positive outlook in life.
She was a little bit sad when she lost the competition last week. The school was conducting their sports fest and RM was the muse of her class. I felt pity upon hearing her say, I didn't make it but Regina Therese (elder sister) went home with an award. I was trying to comfort her by telling her that "There is always the right time for everything."
The Journey
For her to have a diversion, and to uplift her well-being, I took her to a beach that she hadn't visited yet. I'm pretty sure she will enjoy it. This is essential as this will foster a positive impact on her mindset. The way I helped her in these challenging times, will lead her to be motivated and boost her self-esteem.
...off we traveled afar to reach our itinerary. This time, it was in Maravilla Beach Resort.
We have three stops on this ride. This was our longest travel on a motorcycle. I was so determined to travel despite the perilous road. I know she loves riding with me.
Pinoy's Pride
She was delighted to have seen the array of umbrellas in front of the beach. A variety of street foods were displayed. She loves eating all the time. Never did it happen that she lost her appetite in a moment😁.
I often buy street foods, especially the balut and banana cue. I truly love to eat these and as it has been said, like mother, like daughter. RM picked hers too. I let her eat first. We had traveled an hour and I thought she was hungry already. A full stomach is better before taking a stroll at the beach.
The splendid view of the beach
Upon arrival, she was enticed by the lush green seen at the entrance. She admired the huge trees around that provided a framing effect and how they gave pleasure and importance to folks staying under their shades. This has given a perception that there are many reasons to live happily in life.
The splendid view of the beach together with its superb white sand, are the main reasons why people from different places flock here and enjoy it. RM was amazed at the huge number of beachgoers. She enjoyed walking on the sparkling sand which is truly alluring. I was so glad to have seen her strolling around and having fun.
The splendor of low tide
During our visit, it was low tide. Together we joyfully crossed rocks cautiously. Hiding in crystal-clear water in between the rocks are the starfish and crabs. She was amazed and happily screamed, "Look mama, I have seen starfish! Or have you seen it? Crabs!" She was able to discover the behavior of the small starfishes, clinging together and refusing to let go. There, the value of hope was stretched out. I was able to let her see the importance of hope.
She was at the edge watched closely as the people enjoyed beachcombing. Hours later, she then realized that low tide would not last forever. She was able to witness how wonderful the ocean is. Full of lives and grace. That is why sometimes in life if something is not going right, the world is too wonderful where we can wander and leave all the worries behind.
Great things happen
After the different discoveries that RM had, a pose of being happy and contented was seen in her genuine smile. I was able to impart her some lessons that will truly make a difference in her life.
With this, she was able to embrace the importance of resilience, and be thankful even if she was defeated. The experience matters too. If this is practiced, a healthier perspective on failure and success will be attained.
It was a great weekend with her, an amazing bond of a mother and daughter that will have a positive effect on her life. Together we drank the refreshing buko juice or the coconut juice to quench our thirst after the relaxing and happy walk along the coast.
